Who in the world is surprised all the lottery jackpots, multiple years of it, leads to a better team?

I guess a fox in the hen house is shocking too.

Blues never have prospects anywhere close to Bedard's pedigree. The only number one picks to ever play for the Blues were a mediocre defenseman who thought golf carts were more important than playing hockey and the biggest #1 overall bust of the century, Yakupov.

If they had guys like that to absorb most of the negativity they'd hopefully take a different approach.
Its not just bedard. They have other young players playing extremely impressive. Just saying that losing culture didnt take over in chicago or san jose. Players on those teams are smiling and playing with heart and fire
Better coach too. I take Q over Montgomery all day long
I have no problems with monty. I like Q also. We just dont have any main character personalities. Just a bunch of solid supporting cast passive aggressive guys.

We desperately need a leader. I know the BT horse has been beaten to death. Even if not him we need someone like him. Outside of neighbours i dont see any of our core bringing that F you attitude nightly. We need skill guys to bring that. Not more guys that HAVE to bring that style just to get ice time.
Well Broberg is about to become paid. We are paying non leaders?

We need leaders to lead our highest paid players who get the most ice.

Sounds like a successful model lol

Q is not the coach in SJ. He’s in Anaheim.

You don’t have any character concerns about Quenneville?

Sure but I don’t know the story. Much different set of circumstances though.

Losing culture was killing them until late last season when the coach was dumped along with dead weight veterans. Coach Blashill is preaching a system that everybody is buying into and the staff around him is impressive.

Man i hate to see how good the hawks and sharks have gotten and how fast. But as a fan of the sport, bedard and mack are exciting. Along with a lot of others. I wish we had just one player cobsidered a star that produced as a star.

Oh i am 1000% aware. Im holding out hope that maybe we luck into our own this year. I dont think stillman and co would get behind a youth season but the chance at a mckenna bedard rivalry would sell tickets fir 10+ years and bring a bunch of main stream publicity to st louis. In this case even if you miss on number 1 and land top 3 or 4 and still get a high end difference maker. I know we will dur our due diligence and try and put makeup on this pig.

Chicago had no other options besides tearing the mansion down to the concrete foundation to rebuild from the ground up. Stan Bowman gave away too much in an attempt to keep the Kane/Towes core floating and all of his gambles were busts. It helps that all of the other Chicago teams are horrible without a plan to bounce back - Kyle Davidson's plan was necessary and year four is starting to pay off.

Who were Sid and Wayne's line mates? Having a Will Smith on your line is pretty ideal.
