Matvei Michkov for Jordan Kyrou
He’s playing under 15 minutes a night and has been in the “dog house” even after positive showings.
Trading Michkov would get the Flyers a litany of assets, potentially ending their long playoff drought (2020–21 to present). While the team may not “win” the deal on paper, they can get assets to ensure Tocchet’s success. Out goes a third-line player who’s a bit of an outcast, and in comes a potentially game-breaking talent.
So would the Flyers make a deal based on Kyrou who is potentially a game breaking talent, they also just brought in Kyrou's brother in a trade, maybe Kyrou approving a trade there to play with his brother.
So the Blues would get a potential superstar player back.Would like to see him Thomas feeding Michkov.
It is looking like both players would benefit from a change -- both big names which would save face for both teams saying they won the deal.
so if you are the Blues do you make this deal ?? -- or if you are the Flyers do you make this deal ??

Flyers aren’t moving Michkov yet. Tippett would be more likely. Philly is a place that Jordan would probably waive to go to. Not sure how much a Tippett for Kyrou deal moves the needle though.

I want more for Kyrou than Michkov and his problems.

I’d make that trade in a heartbeat, but the Flyers wouldn’t. Michkov could be a real superstar in a couple of years and that’s worth the risk. Especially since this season is slipping away

Kyrou and this year's 1st round pick to Seattle for prospect Jake O'Brien.

Read some rumors the Sharks were kicking tires on Kyrou

Isnt it being reported that seattle offered the number 8 pick fir kyrou essentially? That pick was jake obrien. We are not going to trade kyrou and a first for what we could have had.hockey jedi wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:32 am Kyrou and this year's 1st round pick to Seattle for prospect Jake O'Brien.

Unless Seattle covets Kyrou the same as they did last summer. Also, it appears the Blues 1st round pick will be high in an average draft. Seattle prefer Kyrou, who can play for them now, and get a high prospect to replace O'Brien.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:37 amIsnt it being reported that Seattle offered the number 8 pick fir kyrou essentially? Seattle already backed out of a trade for Kyrou at the draft. No way we make that deal and give up our 1st rounder as well especially this year.hockey jedi wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:32 am Kyrou and this year's 1st round pick to Seattle for prospect Jake O'Brien.

It was as a couple weeks ago. I’ll take a look. I also remember hearing they were kicking tires when the Habs rumors for Kyrou were hot
Re: Matvei Michkov for Jordan Kyrou
I agree I would also. Michkov reminds me of Minnesota Wild Russian winger Kirill Kaprizov. Yes it would be a risk trading 30 plus goal scorer Kyrou, but this team needs a shake up in the worse way. He is a true goal scorer. The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:28 am I’d make that trade in a heartbeat, but the Flyers wouldn’t. Montreal, Ottawa and New Jersey have been rumored destinations besides Seattle.
