Yet another huge opportunity BLOWN by Eli and the Tigers. Only bright spot about it since O was typically poorly run by Kirby but the D wasn't what we thought either is that Drink is now off the lists of all the big brands looking for a HC who can not only turn a program around but then WIN at a high level.
Eli is what he is, nice guy runs a clean program, can get donors behind him for building projects and does great job of recruiting TP and is decent with HS kids. BUT in 6 years he beats up on the teams expected but when he goes up against the Big Brands. Not so much as far as delivering.
Could you imagine him going to a FL or AU with their rabid fan bases and huge expectations and have these kind of results? They would have him on a rail running him out of town in couple years.
So at MU he is making a fortune without all the insane pressure and moderate success.
Now time to play out the season and hopefully take care of next two opponents you should beat. The see if the kid is ready for prime time at Norman. it's time to get him seasoned for next season along with the bowl prep practice time.
As usual season and expectations over in November and Wait till next year is the cry.

I'll throw in a few facts to back up what you are saying:hdhntr148 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 07:29 am Eli is what he is, nice guy runs a clean program, can get donors behind him for building projects and does great job of recruiting TP and is decent with HS kids. In Eli's 6th season his overall record so far is 44-27. Winning Pct is .620 which ranks 10th all time at Mizzou.
His SEC record is 24-23 for a winning Pct of .511
His teams have beaten a total of 4 ranked (at the time) SEC teams, the highest being 14th ranked Tennessee in 2023. Arguably Elis's best year.
It pretty much is what it is.

I heard yesterday that Dan Devine was 3-17 against top ten teams.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 07:29 am Yet another huge opportunity BLOWN by Eli and the Tigers. 2023 was the year that Kirby Moore was in control of the offense and running his scheme.

Five posts and not one positive thing has been posted.
Another misleading thread designed for others to pile on after a loss.

How positive should we be about a loss?
"Just the facts Ma'am. Just the facts".

The defense was great yesterday. The time of possession difference had them worn out by the 4th.
