In my life there was nothing more exciting in the mid 50's going to the old ballpark and hearing Musial being announced by Charlie Jones coming to bat.
"Now batting #6, Musial, Stan Musial".

I still get thrills just thinking about it.

You can't really believe that you're going to find an owner willing to invest 2.5 Billion dollars and then lose money every year, so he can chase championships.

Well the point of investing is not to lose money. That could happen too. I can believe they are a few who would invest that sum and merely chase titles.
