I remember when our team had an arsenal of good, if not top, college qbs-Brad Smith, Chase Daniel, Blaine Gabbert, James Franklin, Drew Lock--a long line of outstanding QBs. Pinkel not only knew how to design pass plays, but he also gave his backups reps. Look at the ashes of our QB development-a host of transfers out, injuries, a hodgepodge of players with no program offensive continuity. We had Brady Cook, who may have been better than we all thought in how he navigated what seems to be a consistently AWFUl offensive passing system based on gimmicky plays, wide receiver screens, low percentage long balls. But not much more. Running game, on the other hand, has been very good under Drink (imho), with Badie, Shrader, and a host of NFL caliber runners. It's sad this defense can't get much more from Drink's offense.

Sadly, this is what I expect when Mizzou is playing a top team. Can never seem to win a statement game. The statement we always make is we are a decent team. Seems no matter what sport, we just cannot get over the hump. Bummed.

Yep. Nothing changes from week to week. And the playcalling looks eerily similar to the same playbook MU ran before Moore arrived.
Our "offensive coordinator" is just a facade. This is a Drink offense, the same Drink-type offense we've seen for years.

I'm seriously worried about the portal - MU could lose key players to programs who have an offense.

I will remind myself, it's just the first half, maybe this team can adjust, we have the defense to keep us in the game.

This is sorta the shame of it all. This definitely is a winnable game. But you have to have a quarterback that isn’t scared to death.

After a while it becomes pretty obvious that no matter what Drink promises guys most of the selling points are hollow. The WR position is the most underutilized position on the team. And the game plan refuses to use the middle of the field for passing. It’s just a very vanilla, boring offense and has been for several seasons now. I just don’t see how Drink is that hot commodity everyone thinks he is.

This will be a fun half with being forced to pass and with 147 defenders in the box because we literally cannot complete a pass.

LOL a holding call on the return ?! The refs are doing their share to help A&M maintain their rank. Not that they need any help in this game.

Inside their own 20.

Nearly a half to play and you want to go for it there?

I hate being a Mizzou fan. Just a constant kick in the balls.
