The Cardinals in the AFL are playing with mixed results. There is one week left in the season.

The bright spots are Miguel Ugueto and Darlin Saladin.
Ugueto is playing all three outfield spots and hitting .328 but only a .789 OPS, not much slug for such a high average.
Travis Honeyman, on the other hand is well below the Mendoza line.

The pitchers have been bad with the exception of Darlin Saladin who has 7 BB and 17 Ks through 11 innings to the tune of 0.82 era.
Unfortunately, top hope Lin is not performing well with a 1.78 WHIP, 6.57 era with 19 Ks and 8 BBs in 12 innings. 5 starts 12 innings.

Not a good AFL for some of our hopefuls. *(Box score scouting, I haven't watched a game.)

You do realize that Lin 16th ranked in Cardinals system is the only player of the guys mentioned in our Top 30 prospect rankings on mlb.com

Good to see positive reports on two of the guys sent there.
