I think it was a dumb move on his part.
He's Lars Nootbar 28 years old instead of 32 for Bader. Stats per year are close.

Two of the most memorable moments of the Bader era for me: him coughing up Mikolas's no-no in the 9th through a misplay and him losing it and laughing after Ozuna climbed the fence on a ball that landed on the warning track.

What do you mean what? He will be 31 after two months of the season. I am amazed how many wanted him gone and now think he is worth more than 10 million a year. Like I said other than defense, he is Lars Nootbar and everyone wants him gone.

Oh, I see now.

It’s just you said Noot is 28 (actual age) and Bader is 32 (not until June). But next year, he will turn 32 during 2026 season.

I don’t know if he’s worth more than 10mil, but maybe Bader would rather have a 2-3 year deal at 8-9 mil a year instead.

I personally think his bat is fools gold.

He should try Cleveland, now that Lane Thomas is gone.

You forgot him idiotically trying to throw home with a 2-run lead (and showing how horrible his arm was) which allowed the tying run to reach 2nd and later score during a postseason game against the Padres which we lost. If he throws to 2nd the tying run would have been stranded at 2B.

Bader’s baseball IQ was and is low.

Remember Jeffy25 who told all of us that Bader was a better player than Willie McGee? Hilariously dumb.

Who's going to give him a $10M AAV? ::crazya::

If he gets a multi year (and I'd bet it won't be more than two) deal, then he's looking at $15M/2 yrs.
i think its very good for him. hes projected to get 25 mil for 2 year. he just had a .800 ops season as a centerfielder with plua defense. that is an insanely good year.

he got 1 year 6.25 mil with an option coming off a sub .700 ops year, he can get more than 1 year 10 mil coming off a strong year of near .800 ops.

he may nptnget more than 10 mil per but will get in an additional year. if he regresses this year he wouldnt have come close to that next year.

Nothing fishy at all about a 31 yr old w/a weak .644 OPS from 2022 - 2024, in his walk season, putting up the highest OPS of his career.

Not saying some dumb GM won't give it to him but he's not worth $12.5M AAV ::crazya::

The fool who gives him that deal will rue the day.
