They took Sennecke third and it was shocking even to him but he's going to be very good. They additionally hit on a 1C and 1D and have an experienced coach (not a fan of Q).

Grant McCagg had Sennecke third on his board to Anaheim that year (and the year prior was way way high on Dvorsky before his draft as well.)

Coach Q, love him or hate him is one of the best there is. He has a young and talented team firing on all cylinders. And Leo Carlsson is an absolute stud at 20 years old. 6g, 14a and a +9 in 13 games this season. Coach Q will quickly restore them to the force they were with Getzlaf for so many years.

Was going to post this exact same thing this morning but yeah Carlsson is the real deal and they still have McQueen coming. I still think Pastujov might break through…he’s played well in the AHL for them. Ducks are legit and gonna be a problem.

I’m sure Q wants to clean up their defensive play.
They’re giving up too many shots and goals but that offense has been very strong.

They still need a RHD for the short and long term even though Trouba has temporarily found the fountain of youth. Just in time in his walk year, eh?
Kreider’s production (particularly on the PP) has Rangers fans crying more about Drury.

It’s fun to watch young stud centers develop like Carlsson.
