I’d put at least two goals as partially Binnington’s fault. PCI’s goal I don’t know why do not go up the boards if you aren’t passing it to a person at least make them retrieve it. Throwing it within stick length of Ovi is weird.

He was swimming on the 3rd, no one played it well but he was basically outside of the crease from the very start. Completely lost the puck when Faulk was the playing to block the shot and he overplayed the initial shot then fell down.

I disagree, in a nice way. They are playing so poorly in front of him.

The slot in front of the net is wide open for the Caps. Hence, goal #4.

I understand that it is very early in the season, but I think there is something seriously wrong with this team. What should be their top players look like they are 3rd/4th liners. Goaltending is atrocious. Defense is non-existent. And when they get behind by 2 goals, the entire team seems to give up.

Just a bad combination of avg vets (Schenn, Fowler, Buch, Faulk) and too green newcomers ( Snuggerud, Dvorsky, Mailloux, Bromberg ). Thomas, Parayko, Holloway and Kyrou are wasted on this team.

I’m not saying we aren’t playing poorly but the Blues have also had some grade A chances and Thompson has stopped them all. Goaltending is an issue for this team and TBH there has been so few clutch saves like the announcers have been saying. Blues are all too scared to take a risk defensively since all of them end up in the net. Shade a of Jake Allen in January for 3 years.

Do you really have confidence that Binny or Hofer are going to make a clutch save at the moment? I want to believe, we’ve seen it but I am frankly shocked at how good opposing goalies look vs. the Blues.
