Odds are against you but not it wouldn't be the first time that a backup even a true freshman leads a really good team to victory over the top team in their conference. Zollers is a QB who is better than Beau in several areas such as arm strength and more willing to stay in pocket and deliver the pass and there is that very strong running back duo and a WR room that is very solid plus a solid freshman TE who he already has established chemistry with. IF Green can get back to his pre injury self after time to regroup that would be huge.

Then you have a couple what should be very competitive games against two teams before their last chance to make an impression on rest of SEC at OU. Will be Uber interesting to see how the team does but especially how Tigers future QB does.

Then you could be in playoffs or getting ready for a good bowl. Either way it is more reps, more practices and time to look forward to the next season. Not only for Zollers but all the young very talented players on this team and there are many.

Yeah I am an optimist except for when I see absolute incompetence like Kirby Moore. BUT maybe he gets his head out of his (bleep) and has a good scheme for this game and rest. IF you remember I said same things about Drink and even he realized it as well.

"Odds are against you..."

And yes they are. So what do you do with that situation? What's the plan?

I would think one would play to their best strength. One would look to a strategy to make the most out of what you know you have. One would try to avoid 3rd and 8 - 3rd and 10 situations. Every time a Hardy or Roberts can pop for 5-8 yards......you are not looking at those odds for your young and inexperienced qb.

I'd truly like to see Missouri come out and run for the first 8-10 plays. I don't care if they go 3 and out for 3 series trying it. Why the hell not. That's where your odds are to say nothing of establishing a no nonsense attack. Zollers has his hands plenty full as is and yes he will need to execute a good passing game but if you want a miracle on Saturday imo his shoulders can carry only so much of that kind of load.

It's going to take a hell of a TEAM effort to win this game on the field and just as important in the booth. I hope they keep surprise and trick plays to a minimum and let them play a consistent game to their best strength.... without wavering.
