Re: Dvorsky
His shot was actually 75.14 mph but his hardest shot so far ranks in the 94 percentile. He has a rocket of a shot.

Re: Dvorsky
I don't know how people thought it was 70 mph, since googling "dvorsky first goal shot speed" reads it was 89.81
So, you were wrong perra. Oh the irony lol & Laughing at you, clown....

From Google AI:
"The exact shot speed for Dalibor Dvorsky's first NHL goal is not publicly available in standard NHL game statistics. While the NHL tracks shot speeds using its EDGE technology, this specific data point was not released during the game broadcast or in post-game summaries to the public.
Dalibor Dvorsky's goal was a "laser one-timer" from a feed by Justin Faulk on the power play. NHL EDGE data provides general statistics and some top speeds for players and teams over a season, but typically not individual shot speeds for every single goal in real-time public reports. "
"laser one-timer"

I’m equally impressed with his face off skills. Very badly needed.

His hardest shot was 89.81 against Vancouver; his goal against Edmonton was 75.14. Here is the site Google AI couldn’t find with his numbers: https://www.nhl.com/nhl-edge/skaters/da ... ky-8484164.

I am pretty sure they had no expectations of Mailloux being "magical" right off the bat. I think they expected him to have his growing pains.Ziggy3 wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 09:14 amNo kidding, it is still pretty wild to me that they didn't come into the season with some sort of veteran D depth in case Mailloux wasn't magically solid off the bat.skilles wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 23:24 pmYou would think that might have crossed the minds of the people in charge. It's bad enough to be thrown in there with Tucker, not that he's a problem, just another player finding his game. But the team was all over the place in terms of system and where to be. Put Mailloux on a steadier systematic group and he might be able to gain some confidence and loosen up.The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 23:12 pmStringing a few wins together could help the whole team loosen up a little. Just a hopeful thought.
What I don't think the expectation was that Tucker would have such an issue at the beginning of the season after showing he made some strides last year.
That's where the problem came in.
Re: Dvorsky
Did YOU expect Tucker to be able to anchor a pairing with a raw rookie who was certain to have growing pains? What with his average of 30 NHL games per season under his belt?TheJackBurton wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025 11:13 amI am pretty sure they had no expectations of Mailloux being "magical" right off the bat. I didn't. And even if you were optimistic that he could, the backup plan was apparently...Kessel.
Just seems like a poor plan coming out of the gate for a team with playoff aspirations.

Its where the franchise is right now they have to rely on some younger players. The Blues have about $4.8 in cap space maybe they could have committed to anothe dman contract but i think they know they have Lindstein, Tucker, Mailloux next season simmering, maybe a Jiricek is close they most likely wanted to try to skate by with what they haveZiggy3 wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025 12:14 pmDid YOU expect Tucker to be able to anchor a pairing with a raw rookie who was certain to have growing pains? Re: Dvorsky
Yeah I guess so, but I mean, how much would a Bortuzzo-type have cost? That's all I'm really talking about. Maybe none were available, I don't know...Harry S Deals wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025 12:26 pm

Seems like most years a veteran journeyman type of guy like that comes in the offseason to compete for the 6th/7th spot, and this seems like a strange year in particular for that to NOT happen...

Re: Dvorsky
Clearly the lack of backup plan that Ziggy is pointing to was getting high off their own supply this summer as to what was on the backend.
They do miss Suter and even Leddy, each of the strengths those two players brought are badly needed. I understand why they were willing to extend Fowler but otherwise aim for a youth movement, but they're in this really tricky spot where they need to not regress while the younger players gain needed development time. Unfortunately that isn't holding right now. Good to great goaltending can help but they aren't getting that either.
There really are some solid defenders coming through the pipeline. Skinner looks like he's able to perform about as well as Kessel or Mailloux for some third pair minutes on the right side. That could be interesting if they keep being frustrated by what they're seeing with the first two.

Re: Dvorsky
The Blues have some interesting defensive stats so far. The Blues:
8th fewest Scoring Chances Against
13th best in Shots Against
11th best in HDCA Against
HOWEVER
They have given up the most HDGA
They have the worst HDSV%
They have the worst SAVE PCT
So the team concept is okay to pretty good but the breakdowns have been epic and the goalies in some cases cant stop the HD chances because they are tap ins and in other cases just havent made saves at all.
Also they have generated Scoring Chances For but they havent yet buried enough, middle of the pack Goals For.
These numbers SHOULD find their norm, more goals for, less goals against but we will see
