I have no answer for that. I'm not anti Marmol. A manager can have a significant difference in outcomes of games over a season, but he is only as good as his players. talent plays, and will always play. The manager just aids in that talent
What if the Cardinals had had the Dodgers starting pitching staff?

Maybe that's why Marmol has gotten such a long leash. Maybe management actually realizes he hasn't been provided the roster necessary to win at a high level. Namely, starting pitching.Adam2 wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 08:01 amI have no answer for that. I'm not anti Marmol. Re: What if the Cardinals had had the Dodgers starting pitching staff?
What would happen depends on whether he was grinding down his starting pitchers to save the bullpen as part of a strategy he developed himself or if the "game planner" put in place by Mozeliak was telling him to do that.
If that's Marmol's strategy then it won't matter much who the starting pitchers are. They will be out of gas by the all star break.

Re: What if the Cardinals had had the Dodgers starting pitching staff?
It's obvious that the Cardinals need more higher quality starting pitching. Preferably, with more swing and miss stuff. It seems like they had that in mind in the recent draft.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 09:26 am What would happen depends on whether he was grinding down his starting pitchers to save the bullpen as part of a strategy he developed himself or if the "game planner" put in place by Mozeliak was telling him to do that.

Then why do YOU constantly criticize Marmol on this forum? You can’t seem to keep your story straight.Shady wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 09:17 amMaybe that's why Marmol has gotten such a long leash. Sorry, the facts don’t support your narrative. “Namely,” that the Cardinals hitting and position players are comparable to the Dodgers’, and the only problem is starting pitching. The true problem is the Cardinals roster is inferior top to bottom, as you’ve been shown several times in this thread. But enjoy this attention.

Re: What if the Cardinals had had the Dodgers starting pitching staff?
It's a fairly ridiculous topic, but in fairness to shady, if the Cards had the dodgers rotation they would have Ohtani which changes both teams offense also.

5 more OP's Shady and you can have a clean sweep of the board! Lots of good baseball discussion. If you don't think so. Go watch a movie or go to bed for the night. Maybe tomorrow will be a better CT experience for you. If you're still here--spamming the forum for attention--it will not be a better experience for anyone. As always, you'll do your level best to make sure of it. If what you posted earlier is true. You know what I'm talking about. You are either terribly bitter or a total azzwhole to have the gall to harass me under your life circumstances. Especially, after I expressed my concern.Mort Gage wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 20:31 pmSays the weird old fart who most the board can't stand. Re: What if the Cardinals had had the Dodgers starting pitching staff?
Obviously, it frustrates some creeps here that I don't even acknowledge them. They are useless, pond scum that I have no use for. They can't simply ignore another poster they disagree with on an innocent baseball message board. They thrive on harassment instead. Very sad human beings. It's not nuclear war or cancer. Try to get frucken' real.

You're a 79 year old Internet troll who maliciously spams online chat forums just to get attention. You've been banned AND suspended multiple times by multiple forums (including this one) for your awful behavior.
Seriously, man, turn off the Jitterbug and go touch some grass.
