the way I see it, is that Rosen is so that until they get more games under their skates the Blues aren't comfortable having Mailloux and Tucker out there together, and they can't keep splitting up Parayko-Fowler and Faulk-Broberg.
This allows them to pair Mailloux with a calm, very vanilla defensive dman who just plays a smart game, isn't flashy and doesn't get caught out of position too often. Knows the Blues system and can help Mailloux get more minutes.
Tucker will then slide in when Rosen gets overexposed or Rosen will slide over to his off side.
Rosen will only help.
2,112-percent correct.
And Kessel seemingly has regressed past year or so.
They stated earlier on ESPN that only 5 teams that had 3 or less wins in their first 10 games of the season made the playoffs in the last 15 years and I think they said 4 of those 5 teams made a coaching change.

So you’re saying Rosen WILL IN FACT prevent the Blues from getting a top five pick all by himself. Oh the humanity!!!
Yep, it's all part of Army's sinister plan of doing what he can to help the players succeed.

Yeah, Kessel should be a younger version of Rosen, but just hasn't gotten there.

Here we go again. Army is bring in veteran players to "stay competitive". Forget about the prospects in the organization. Army drafts the best, but just don't expect his players to ever play. They aren't good enough.
BluesTalkers often ask me, "How would you get a TOP5 pick without tanking?"
Answer: Don't bring in Rosen. Play the prospects, and sink or swim. If Army is so great at drafting, WHERE ARE THE PROSPECTS NOW?
This move means that more will follow. We have March TV dates on National TV that have to mean something.
Welcome to mediocre hockey, Blues Fans. No TOP5 pick again this year.
St Louis Blues... The only roster in NHL history that actually got OLDER following a re-whatever. Disgusting.
hey dummy mc dummerson... calle rosen is an ahl player with grit they probably got him to watch over young guys
I'm so disappointed. In my older age, I was looking forward to wasting years of my life as a fan......I was excited over possibilities of getting high draft picks during my later years, by hoping my team loses during these upcoming seasons.
Too bad.....I really want to waste some years to root for losing.

Im glad to hear that you can eat frozen pizza everyday for your few remaining days, and be happy. Some want something more to look forward to. We dream bigger.

Oh I dream of a Cup just as much a you do. I'm just not under your illusions that hoping for top picks guarantees one.

He doesn’t dream of a Cup, at least not for the Blues.

If you are aware that a top pick doesn't guarantee one, I'm sure that you're also aware that Thomas and Kyrou don't guarantee one either.
What a top pick does guarantee is that the city has an elite talent to be proud of. It also guarantees that you can watch an elite talent every game.
It's amazing that people think that Stan Musial is not necessary. They would be happy with the hard-working collection of short-career "guys" that Musial played with over the 20 years.

You need to get out more. BluesTalk is polluting your mind. EVERY NHL CITY recognizes the importance and significance of having elite talent on the roster. EVERY NHL CITY realizes that the BEST WAY to acquire that talent is a high pick in the NHL draft.
It's only St Louis that believes that they don't need one -- BECAUSE THAT IS THE HOCKEY SLOP THAT ARMY THROWS OVER THE FENCE TO THEM.

You’re funny.
You’ve actually admitted that you care more about the names on the back of the jerseys more than the logo on the front.
That’s the sign of an uneducated fan IMO.
