P. Suter

Post by StLouis-4Life2 »

Probably one of the only highlights this season.... pretty solid 2 C but would be a top 5 3C which is what we signed him to be originally. Would have loved to see him play with Bolduc...think he will really help either Stenberg or J. Carb next year

Just a smart, solid player. I still can’t believe we got him for the price we got him for and I have no clue why Vancouver let him get away after a 25 goal season.

I really had no idea how solid he was before this year. Solid defense, strong play making ability and can score some dirty goals. It's tough think of a comparison player to him. Surprised he isn't getting more recognition for his play right now

Well when Thomas comes back there shouldn’t be any confusion on who the 4 Cs are. 18, 22, 54 and 77. Any other choice is coaching malfeasance/

I don't know about that...77 definitely has enough talent to be 3rw on this team right now. Ideally he is a great 4c but right now I think we need him playing more minutes

18 22 54 and 77 is likely correct although I don’t mind them putting 70 at 4C over 77.

10 and 77 should be 3rd line wings in a perfect world.

When all are healthy I like the idea of 77 being 4C over 70 though.

I’d do something like

Buchnevich Thomas Kyrou
Holloway Dvorsky Snuggerud
Schenn Suter Neighbours
Toropchenko Bjugstad Sundqvist
Joseph Walker

Texier - waived

Suter should have been SOG tonight. Quietly solid.

Rumor was Vancouver actually offered him more, but with the dysfunction in the Vancouver locker room and front office he wanted out.

Early part of the year, based on amount and commitment, I'd say he's been the top signed UFA at this point.

That would make sense, because how could you not be impressed with that guy. Coming off a 25-goal season, he should have been a priority for them. Thanks Jack
