D'Amico followed up saying people were mistaking his statement. Dumb.dhsux wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 14:01 pm NHL Rumour Report

Marco D'Amico: Re Blues rumours: "Schenn’s leadership and playoff experience make him a highly coveted piece for contenders, while speculation around Kyrou or Thomas would ignite league-wide frenzy. For now, St. Louis remains the team everyone is watching" - RG (10/30)

So there's a frenzy for Kyrou and....the Blues want to trade him and...Kyrou wants out and.....every one watching but....nobody biting.
Got it.
Honest question - is he unhappy because he's getting pushed by coaches to be a better all around player? I'm not being snarky, but legitimately curious as to the reason why he's unhappy.
There’s been tension with every coach. Berube crossed the line and hurt him deeply. That was ignorant. Then the fans turned on him because he wanted to turn the page and said something that came out wrong.bud white wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 15:53 pmHonest question - is he unhappy because he's getting pushed by coaches to be a better all around player? I was always a big Tusk fan.

Berube, Hitch, Armstrong and Montgomery are a boys club. They don’t like/respect him much.
His name is constantly in rumors. Top analysts repeatedly saying the Blues want to move the contract. Limited ice time in big games. All of it would make anyone unhappy. He’s not from the area. Why wouldn’t he welcome change. I would
Thin skin? Berube publicly humiliated him. Even Armstrong publicly said he didn’t respect what Berube did. You don’t do that…ever. It hurts the player and the team.bud white wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 16:06 pmOk.theograce wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 16:00 pmThere’s been tension with every coach. Berube crossed the line and hurt him deeply. Well, if his skin is indeed that thin, then as a coach I wouldn't want him around either. I got to a pretty fair amount of games and his level of interest wanes far more than it should based upon his paycheck.
I don't remember the incident. But Berube is very old school and by all accounts was a great team mate. If he did call him out / humiliate him, then he would have tried everything and anything to get the message through to him behind closed doors and the message wasn't getting through.theograce wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 16:09 pmThin skin? Also, if Kyrou is happy playing 14-15 minutes some nights in the playoffs…I don’t want him here anyways.
I like Berube, but there is no excuse for what he did. He crossed the line “broke the code” as Armstrong said. Had he not been a cup winning coach or a friend or Armstrong’s he would have been fired earlier for thatbud white wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 16:21 pm I don't remember the incident. Don't get me wrong. Kyrou is an incredibly skilled player. But he does have an air of immaturity about him at times.

Berube called him out...very debatable tactic.....JK responded poorly for his off hand dumb remarks and grew up a bit with his public mea culpa doing it. Whoop tee do. It's history and Berube is gone.
Then what's important about it is he responded very well on the ice. He's improved as a player since that day.
I consider myself fairly perspective reading players and relations between them. I don't see this animosity or resentment towards JK and I don't see some problem child out there pouting or not caring as some people are saying. I see no firm reporting or info talking about or detailing what is apparently rumored about his character or present position as a good team mate. If he hates it here he sure knows how to hide it or take it, my guess is neither. He can certainly approach DA and ask for a trade any time he wants.
Wanting to move him for hockey reasons is one thing wanting to move him for all the Peyton Place drama queen stuff is another.
I'm a fan, hope he stays and I know dam well he can help this hockey team.

When asked, Kyrou was very moved by fans' reactions and apologized. He stressed that his response was about being a better player for Blues and wanting the team to win, not a shot at Berube.Blues Dave wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 17:47 pmdhsux wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 17:02 pm All this smoke but never any fire to date...and yeah it's a play on words but true on both accounts.

You are definately spot on dhsux. Great to hear some legit hockey talk. All the rest of you guys ought to speak up too. There is too much knowledge out there guys. We all need to speak up again/more to help drown out the nonsense. I'm getting tired of reading the useless comments, instead of talking some serious Blues Hockey. I don't want to waste my time or brain cells either, but I do want to hear you guys again.
