1. Winn will never win the GG.

2. No org wants Schumacher as their manager, and no, the Rangers didn’t hire him to eventually take over Bochy.
Vividly remember him arguing with the whole board on #1. Might try to dig up that thread tomorrow from my computer. Too much effort on mobile right now.
Scouty may have had a point on item #1.
It is somewhat surprising the Dodgers did not buy it for Betts - which would have prevented Winn.

I've steadfastly said he's my only untouchable. Bpot last 2 years. I think Wetherholt will be really good for pushing Masyn offensively.

Marion would have won quite a few and Durocher would have won one or two had there been a Gold Glove Award in the 1930s and 1940s.

Itd be nice if they announced these after the end of the season and not in November when the regular season is an afterthought. Worst run pro sports league.

Marion led NL shortstops in TZ four times in his career (+127 overall as a Cardinal), so that’s certainly plausible. Durocher, however, seems less likely (at least if we’re talking about deservedly winning)—during his time in StL, he posted a cumulative -10 TZ. 1935 would have been his best shot (+6, his only positive year), but he finished a distant second to Billy Jurges (+20) among NL shortstops.

Nice!! I figured they'd give it to Betts. Good for Masyn!! He definitely deserves it. One of the bright spots of last year was watching him play shortstop.

Agree.

CF: Pete Crow-Armstrong — Chicago Cubs, was he better than Victor Scott II?

Congrats to M. Winn, well deserved.

Now if he can just get that OB% (.304 OB% career) into the .335+ range he'll be an offensive asset.

I never saw him play, didn’t they refer to him as “Mr Shortstop?” I know my dad did.

This is the play I remember: Jumping for a ball 20 feet over the wall.
