Will Drink raid some teams' roster that fired their head coach?
Ex. LSU, supposedly, has some top level talent that could be on the move.

Doesn't a 30 day window open up for transfers? Can they play right away? If so, maybe we can get a kicker to finish out the season.

The firing of the head coach triggers the 30 day window to the transfer portal. However players cannot immediately join their new team, should the decide to transfer. Players are prohibited from playing for 2 teams in the same season. Have to wait until January to join their new squad.

Heck! I'll come play quarterback for Mizzou. I can lay on the turf and act hurt with the best of them, even Nussmeier!

You could be right. Drink's Mizzou football program is very popular, right now. Some big-time players probably see the NFL players coming out of Mizzou.winonsports wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025 12:21 pmRaid is the wrong word. For Drink, a lot of it will be just answering the phone.

If he's smart he will. So, yeah, he will.

If your coach doesn't try,
You need a better coach.
Drink will, so will every coach worth his salt.

of course Eli will evaluate players for TP where he is one of the best at. Player agents will contact a rising MU program as well.
nuss was a highly regarded dude for NFL draft and will be gone. besides why would you want him? he turned out to be fragile dude who isn't that special. Much rather give the kid rest of season for experience so you have full eval on his worth for budget and decide whether you go buy a better QB. IMO Beau would be the backup as he has NOT improved and actually regressed during season tho he does have potential.
When Eli fires Kirby at end of year or he goes to a lower level school will be new mo better OC and QB coach for next season that could unlock BP's vast potential.
As for Eli leaving ALL the many jobs open come with Huge expectations and pressure. Plus at none of them would he win the press conference and big donors and fans would be disappointed. Like the Lane Train they can win a Natty right where they are and have it made IF they are good enough . Plus Eli hasn't beaten a top team during season when it mattered as of yet. Lane finally broke thru. remember money will be similar right where they are. it's about getting bigger NIL budget like Kelly at LSU did last year but HE squandered it and got fired.

If Zollers is the guy for next year what happens to Pribula? Will he move on, does he become a back up, or do they split time?
