Drink Lucked Out Again
Reality was about to hit this program
The only team he’s beat this season with a winning record going into this weekend was kansas.
He’s benefited from very very very fortunate and easy scheduling (not just this year).
Reality was about to hit and the character of the program was about to be tested with multiple losses in a row and now there is the excuse that we are using our 3rd string QB.
(Zollers is a lot better than Prib, obviously and it’s likely Horn was better than Prib but Beau’s the guy who got paid and Zollers was never going to start over the other two as a true FR)
Zollers may actually improve Mizzou’s chances of getting multiple wins to close out the year AND offers an excuse for Drink and Mizzou fans. It’s now house money, basically.
If this collapse happened with Beau at QB it would be a much more negative situation to manage for Drink.
It’s very possible they lose every remaining game, it’s also possible they win 2 bc of how good Zollers looks.

Re: Drink Lucked Out Again
we will win against miss st and Arky - very tough games against A&M and OU (4-25-2 all time at OU) - I'm thinking 8-4 and a mid tier bowl (pop tart?)

Whoa, Barry Odom’s #1 is back. Color me excited for the idiocy ahead!

Wow all the darkies are here for our entertainment.
All very recent to the board too.
Huh. I wonder who the teams they root for are?
Anyway....calling this coach a "lucky" coach is just hilarious on multiple fronts.
You clowns have a good day.....there's plenty to b111tch about so no doubt you will.

-didn’t beat a ranked team in 2024
-should have lost back to back weeks to BC and Vandy in 2024 before being annihilated by Texas AM the following week
-has only beaten 1 team with a winning record in 2025, kansas.
-the schedule (finally) has a string of tough games and he loses his QB making way for the perfect excuse to lose out.
We can get into the luck of having an in-state NIL advantage that was/is unique around the country and of course, wait for it, the cultural and roster foundation left by Barry was exceptional.
Re: Drink Lucked Out Again
the stupidity is strong within the solution a simpleton Odom fan. there was NO culture under BO and only a smattering of 3 star talent on roster so go soak your head.
This is the toughest and most balanced team I can remember since the CD days. D is very tough and Batoon has impressed as having a great scheme and coaching up a not very good secondary earlier in season to a unit that shut down the vaunted Pavia Offense and did best job against him since he came to Vandy'

No culture under Barry? He was able to keep the ENTIRE ROSTER from transferring when NCAA sanctions allowed Mizzou players to transfer (before the portal began) with no penalty. THAT is culture.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 18:40 pm the stupidity is strong within the solution a simpleton Odom fan. there was NO culture under BO and only a smattering of 3 star talent on roster so go soak your head.

Mizzou had lost culture entirely under Pinkel. Starting QB doing coke openly all over campus. Teammates pulling guns on each other at parties. The Head Coach getting DUI and openly partying all over the Lake. His staff doing the same. Taking it to the point the team had a F’n boycott. THAT is no culture.
People like you are so bizarre to me, you care enough about a team to post online on a team specific forum but literally don’t know jack about even recent history.
And those 3 star bums you’re talking about made up like 85% of the defense when Drink won his 10 games. Guys like McGuire were 3 star Barry finds.
This Mizzou roster as it currently is is good, correct, this is an entirely different world for Mizzou than when Barry was here.
Barry dealt with an actual boycott from St. Louis because of alleged racism on campus that was so well known Southpark did an episode on it.
In Drinks case, he was awarded legislation by the state allowing Missouri local player NIL advantage coming to Mizzou. Not to mention the world in general is completely changed in terms of how rosters are being bought and created.
This isn’t a thread about Barry vs Drink.
This is a thread about Drink lucking the F out.
He was about to get hit with the real deal for once and he now can manage the narrative and gain the excuse support of the fans given it’s a 3rd string QB (who is better than the starting QB).

Re: Drink Lucked Out Again
In another thread he said we "should" have lost to Vandy last year. Why "should" we have lost? Because it went into OT? I guess we "could" have, but we didn't. Vandy "could" have lost on Saturday. We were a few inches away from 14 more points, but we didn't get those inches. Vandy didn't do enough to win last year. His glass isn't half full. It's broken.
