Drink to Florida
Everything I read he is the guy they want. Better chance to get in the playoffs with Florida resources and their past tradition. Also recruiting to Florida with 5 times more div. 1 players in high school football than Mizzou. Missouri will do everything they can do to keep him I hope it works.
Re: Drink to Florida
I'm not reading anything that has Drinkwitz as top choice.
I'd say Lane Kiffin, Dan Lanning, and Jedd Fisch head UF's list. jmo and prepared to be wrong.

Re: Drink to Florida
I love these topics with misleading titles.
Re: Drink to Florida
I'd be happy in Oxford if I was Kiffin. He's the 10th highest paid coach in football (9 million), and more importantly he doesn't have the pressure that Florida will have and potentially get canned in a few years. But I am not an NCAA coach, and their minds are wired different.

Re: Drink to Florida
If Drink takes that job he’s playing roulette with his career. Those fans are complete idiots down there. They don’t even know who they want, but from what I see in comments on X they don’t want Drink. He’d be starting in the hole. They wouldn’t let him be .500 for his 1st 3-4 years before he starts winning.edwin drood wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 14:15 pmHere's one:

I just can’t see Drink leaving for Florida at all. Or Penn State. LSU MAYBE. But not likely, they’re crazy there.
Re: Drink to Florida
Very cheap self promotion shot or just stupid.
I'm still undecided.
Re: Drink to Florida
Why a better chance to win when Missouri has a winning record against them since joining the sec and in what way does UF have more resources? They have been bad since Tebow and Meyer left. Recruiting geography no longer matters. They go through coaches every three-four years. Locking down the borders no longer matters. It’s a different world.wallsn5461 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 12:16 pm Everything I read he is the guy they want. Better chance to get in the playoffs with Florida resources and their past tradition. His ex wife who relocates with him to ever location since she has custody of the kids if from Gainesville. I think that is where he is headed. A dark horse for Florida is Brohm. Sounds like they have been in contact.Luke77 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 13:51 pmI'd be happy in Oxford if I was Kiffin. Re: Drink to Florida
drink will not get a sniff from FL, LSU or PSU. he will never be the guy that would "win the press conference" for a team with fickle snobby fans. Kiffin might be tempted to go to LSU because of their recruiting prowess but truthfully their won't be any difference in Money as Ole miss supporters would match anything they could come up with. Why leave when he has little pressure and is beloved there and will get bigger NIL budget which he has shown he like drink knows how to evaluate TP talent.
Re: Drink to Florida
Agree. The media is all over him for roles, but these schools want someone with big game clout.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 18:32 pm drink will not get a sniff from FL, LSU or PSU. he will never be the guy that would "win the press conference" for a team with fickle snobby fans. Re: Drink to Florida
I thought Drink was smarter than that. Florida is where coaches go to die.
Re: Drink to Florida
Honestly, I like Drink but shouldn't he win a relevant big SEC conference game before he is considered the next Savior at his new school?
Re: Drink to Florida
Athlon Sports book has Drink as heavy favorite for Florida job at minus 105. The next probable candidates are James Franklin at 2:1, Lane Kiffin 3:1, then next probable jumps to Jedd Fish 9:1. Hate to see it but just sayin'.
