I did it backasswards. I fell asleep in the third, work up in the 13th, watched the rest.

I didn’t notice this until now. I was up for the whole game. Was getting interesting as the bullpens were depleted and now starters were being used. Yamamoto was getting ready for I guess the 19th inning. He had pitched a complete game in game 2 but had let Roberts know he could pitch more in game 3.

I watched the entire game, posted a lot on the WS game 3 thread. It was too tense to leave it alone. So many interesting things happened in the game, like NO double plays in an 18 inning game! Ohtani reached base 9 times, 2 HR, 2 doubles, and 5 walks (4 intentional). LA used 10 pitchers, Toronto used 9. The three players who pinch ran for Bichette, Kirk, and Barger went a combined 0 for 11 with 1 walk.

Stayed up and watched entire game. Losing Spinger and taking out Bichette and Barger hurt Toronto’s offense big time. Blue Jays may have lost the series by losing this game. Amazing how many relievers Dodgers have that can hit 100.

I didn’t see the first 8 innings. Joined during the 9th and watched the rest. Toronto 3rd base coach should be fired for sending that slow runner home in extra innings. It wasn’t even close at the plate. Even before the play at the plate, I was yelling NO! To be fair, did the coach send him or did the runner go through the stop sign? I never heard the announcers comment. (I’m retired, so didn’t have to get up early today.)

Will Klein, the young red haired relief pitcher for LA, was the star of the game IMO. He threw 4 shutdown innings on the biggest stage. His performance reminded me (and I’m old enough to have watched it) how Ron Taylor and Roger Craig held the Yankees scoreless over 8-2/3 innings of relief which allowed us to win the game on Ken Boyer’s grand slam in the 1964 WS.

Found it interesting that Freeman was touted by network as the Star of the Game ..interviewed immediately after the walk-off HR yet the real star of the game was arguably Ohtani . Reaching base 9 times tied the all-time record set back 82 years ago (and the most ever in postseason history. No player has ever been on base more than 6 times in postseason ! So Ohtani shatters that record by a mile . Oh well , Ohtani did get interviewed 2nd . lol

I now officially hate Tommy Edman. Apparently all you have to do is put on a Dodgers uniform and you're graced with leprechaun luck. The sliding grab and throw he made to throw out the runner at 3rd in, uhhhh, I thought it was toward the end of the game but I think it was like the 8th inning maybe, anyways... give me a f'n break. Not to take away from the throw he made but the Dodgers consistently make these 9 out of 10 plays go in their favor.

Meaning, 9 times out of 10, if they replayed that, it wouldn't go the way it did. Oh well, hopefully another Dodgers WS is enough to assure these 4x other team payrolls end next year.
