If we had a top-notch QB and a decent place kicker, the Tigers would be 8-0

I can't know that Horn would have been way better than Pribula, but I strongly suspect that he would have been better.

The Tiger's season went to pot in the very first game when the team lost Horn and it's field goal kicker for the season.

Our program is that close.

We wasted a top 5 defense and top 5 running game this season when Horn and Craig were hurt in a meaningless game verse Central Arkansas. Horn on a dumb QB designed run up the middle and Craig for trying to make a tackle on a kickoff when he was leading the pack up the field. Moore has yet to comment on why he called that play but he probably doesn’t even realize why it was so ridiculous. The guy is a joke.

Just can't stop thinking about how different things would be if the Tigers had gotten a better QB out of the portal.

I'm not blaming Pribula. He did his best, sure, but he simply isn't an SEC caliber QB.

But...now that Zoellers is the QB, I'm hoping that the team wins 3 more games and a bowl. With some experience...

Next year: We have a top-notch QB and all systems are go.

IF Pribula stays at Mizzou for his last year, you know there will be a QB battle with Drink giving it to Pribula. Thats how its always been with Drinks time at MIzzou.

Even if that's true, Zoller can take that decision right out of Drinks hands in the coming games.

Pribula is basically Cook 2.0. He's a gutsy QB who paradoxically gets happy feet in the pocket too often. And Missouri can beat the teams they're supposed to beat with them, but can't beat the teams they're not supposed to beat. No big upsets with either QB.

And that's a shame with the defense as good as it is now. This is a CFP level defense. The offense lags way behind.

Perhaps Zollers can miraculously change that script against A&M.

Agree with all of this. I wonder what we will get in two weeks? I wish they were playing someone other than the 3rd ranked team to see what type of offense Moore would use. Then you might see if the QBs are the reason for the game plan or that’s just the offense Moore and Drink prefer to run.

I hope everyone will be patient with a true freshman against Texas A&M. That’s a tall order in his 1st start. That said, like the great Herb Brooks said: “Great moments are born from great opportunity”. Zollers has a great opportunity in front of him. Can’t blame him if he doesn’t get the job done, most freshmen wouldn’t. But we can hope.

Well one way MU can get back in the playoff conversation is a convincing win over an unbeaten T@M team with Zollers being the star on the national stage.

Tall order of course but if that would happen than MU would make a substantial move up the rankings and with a true freshman getting a lot of attention who knows what happens if MU winds up running the table.

MU has two weeks to prepare and get a game plan for a QB that there is very little film on so that's one advantage.

Zollers can make the playbook expand and Moore has nothing to lose by turning Zollers and a talented group of receivers loose.

Arky put up 42 against the Aggies. Their D isn't all that. And the Tigers' D has shown a great ability to contain dual threat QBs.

Why people keep blaming Moore for calling a running play for a kid who was recruited as a DUAL THREAT Quarterback is just stupid. Dual threat means he was recruited because not only can he pass but he's a good runner. Have you not watched our offense for the past 5 years? We use our QBs in the running game. Quit blaming the coaches for injuries that's lazy and short-sighted. Horn's came when the defender launched his helmet into Sam's knee. Pribula's came when the Vandy defender alligator rolled while still hold his ankle. NOT the fault of the coaches either time.

I agree with this...somewhat. There's a big difference between running at the 50 yard line and running at the goal line. You know for sure you're going to get hit hard at the goal line. When you have two hoss running backs, either give them the ball or pass.
