Vandy was very fotunate to come away with a win

Some crucial things went their way. But that's the way it quite often goes in close, hard-fought SEC games,

I looked through the other 6 SEC games from Sat and could not find a penalty for 'tripping'. Then I looked through the B1G games and could not find a penalty for tripping. So it seems MU was the only team called for 'tripping' not once, but twice with a 15 yd penalty. Honestly seems very strange.

Vandy scored two TD One on an 80 yard run with a blantent hold on the perimeter. The other two plays after a PI on a pass that landed 30 feet out of bounds.

Unfortunately, that's the way it's quite often gone in SEC games this season

Yes. Thank you for taking the time to do this homework. Let’s just say those calls were “ interesting. “

On the 80 yard run there was actually 2 holds on that play.

"On the 80 yard run there was actually 2 holds on that play."
Maybe three. Carnell was the obvious one. He was held then tackled as the RB was coming at him. Looks like Pride was being held on the edge then shoved in the back into Burkes taking them both out of the play. Trotter was headed toward the RB but was turned around when a Vandy player grabbed his arm. As the RB went by the Vandy guy grabbed Trotter's jersey so he couldn't pursue the RB. Well-designed play if you can hold all the defenders.
On the tripping, is it a penalty if you don't actually trip anyone?

Not really

And if we are talking about good fortune, Mizzou should have lost 2 of the last 3 vs Vandy, 3 of the last 4 including this past weekend.
