Refs went out of their way to give the ref wings that game. Even with how [shirt]ty the officiating has always been in the nhl, I’ve never seen anything like this

Thought it was interesting at the end when Monty called for a timeout after the icing but didn't get it. The Wings announcers were wondering why.

He did call it but he was so absent minded he didn’t realize Detroits exhausted PKers were still in the ice and a timeout would give them a break, so Ott tried to deny they called for it.
