The good thing is we might have found our quarterback. Zollers sure didn’t look like the game was to big for him.
...I agree with you...just looking at the stats, Mizzou had the better ones...total yards, rushing yards, passing yards, 1st downs, time of possession. Even Zollers, in the short time he was on the field, outpassed Previa in total yards, 138 to 129. Each had 1 TD pass.

Mizzou mistakes again cost them the game... Can't get in the red zone twice without scoring, and allowing the 80-yd punt return for a TD. With the remaining schedules, Vandy probably won't have any better record than Mizzou will have...

So how did Mizzou end up with 10 points? Were they giving out 5 points per touchdown today?

The red zone possessions are certainly frustrating. You have to come away with points there. In these close games in the SEC, every opportunity is important. We really miss what our kicking game gave us the last few years and many of us realized how much we were going to miss our kicker who was injured on the opening kickoff of the year.

The 80 yard touchdown run in the third quarter was just such a fluke. There was a missed penalty and a missed tackle. Teams will run a similar play against us a hundred times this year and that will be the only one that breaks open for a touchdown. Our defense was so good today, it’s a shame that the play turned out like it did.

We just have to figure out a way to get over the hump in these games. Another game that we could have won but just didn’t. The play that was huge in the fourth quarter was the fumble by Roberts. We were driving with about 7 minutes left when a bad handoff between Roberts and Zollers landed in the hands of an untouched blitzing linebacker. The ball never hit the ground but just ended up in Vandy’s hands. Just a bad exchange at a terrible time.

The Roberts/Zollers exchange fumble was a killer. That pretty much eliminated our chance to take the lead, we were driving patiently. Offensive passing design could have been better. We can get on Moore, but this still feels like a Drink/guru offense. This was a winnable game.

It’s becoming a reoccurring theme. Winnable games that we just didn’t win. Always seems like a different reason. Poor game from the kicker, a bad penalty, a messed up exchange, costly turnover. Always something. We seem to be our own worst enemy.

The refs did a good job all day. They were not the reason we lost.
Refs were fine. There were calls that went both ways. Having the ball inside the 20 twice and not scoring and giving up an 80yd TD is why we lost.

Kirby Moore is a joke. He has cost us both of our games this year and cost us the South Carolina game and the playoffs last year,
sorry guys but V was clearly offsides twice which was very costly and the second tripping call the ref must have been tripping

Refs favored Vandy.
Vandy linemen were holding all game.
Last play of the game and the Vandy player was practically choking Coleman before the ball got there.

MU hasn't had a good OC since Josh Heupel - that's a long time of dealing with OC issues.

Have to win out now to have a shot at the CFP. Good luck with this offense and this OC. The D is CFP material. Oh, and STs seldom do much of anything worthwhile, though they are decent in kick coverage.

We get them at home….Zollers got guts….I wouldn’t count it as a loss just yet.
