Next up for the Blues is the question of when to bring up the prospects. The thinking is why play mediocre hockey with old veterans when you can accomplish the same with the prospects.

In Jan 2025, Army said that it doesn't make sense to bring prospects into a situation where there is "bad team culture". Well, bad team culture is still here, so I'm guessing that Army will use that same excuse this season.

Meanwhile the real reason is that the prospects will provide no lift. In fact, they will make the losing worse. Springfield and our 2023 prospects are losing at a faster clip than the Blues.

In summary, forget that the prospects exist. The CASH REGISTER ringing must go on. That is the most important thing.

My personal opinion is that no prospect will make a significant difference.

That said, I would be happy if Army did bring them up. Give them a shot.

The purpose of this post is to let you know that Army won''t do it.

Why?
1) The W-L record would get worse
2) Prospects represent "hope" for the future. When that hope is gone, how mad will the fans be about the roster? Army doesn't want to lose that play.

NOPE. You heard it here first. Why not? For 2 reasons:

1. The losing will be worse.

2. The "hope" of prospects provides a shield of criticism for Army. If the prospects come up, and look bad, then Army is sitting on a powder keg.

Anybody seen the results out of Springfield? Worse than the Blues. Army needs to shield his backend, so don't expect to see prospects.
