That was a strange looking breakout (that failed) on that last goal. Mailloux, I believe, broke up ice like a forward and the pass didn't connect.

That was his MO with the Habs. Just low hockey IQ and a risk taker. I have not been impressed by any of Army’s offseason moves. Would rather have Bolduc and Leddy than Suter, Bugs, and Mailoux. I mean, when we were good at the end of last season, the third guy back was winning the race often. And while i don't expect it to happen every night every shift, i expect it a lot more than has happened early in games at home in particular. I mean lets be real for a second here. Holloway worth 8-9M? after the first 7 games of this season? not a shot in the world he gets that. He's getting beat consistently on hussle back, it's completely one dimensional. If he wants to get paid then don't get beat by a guy who's top speed is less than yours when he's 3 strides behind you. Buchnevich looks like he's heading off to retirement on the backcheck these days, only really works on the penalty kill or power play.

How are we expecting some of the young defensemen to look good if we can't do the little things right suddenly? need to probably send a bigger message than putting Texier in the press box, probably need to sit someone in the top 6 who isn't back checking. thats my view on it at least.
