Good for him. Hope he does well. But not too well.
Want Buffalo to want to keep UPL and Lyon once they have to make a decision.
Re: Colten ellis
1 shot in 12 minutes has to be killing him. Made a good save though.

Ellis gets the win. Stopped 2 breakaways, a great slide to his right to stop Detroit from tying it 3-3. He was quite good.
Good for you, Els.

I hope the dude crushes it. I'm rooting on Ellis and Bolduc. Bolduc was my favorite skater from a few years ago. The next 2 I have been highest on were Ellis and Lindstein. The only problem Ellis had was that Binner turned into a world class goalie and Hofer won the team over.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑22 Oct 2025 21:20 pm Ellis gets the win. Good on him. Adams is going to have a hard time making a decision. Can see a trade market opening up especially if there are some more good outings.

Another plus for the Army scouting department and development. for some reason they are just churning these players out all the time.
Re: Colten ellis
Playing well in your debut game on national TV is quite a coup- should really increase his value. Good for him.

I hated to lose him, but guys like that deserve a chance. Maybe it works out that we do eventually get him back, but if not, I hope he does well.

Re: Colten ellis
I posted this a few days ago but I don't even know how it works out if we were able to get him back thru waivers. Because the same thing would happen next year. I think there is a world if we were .500 at the trade deadline that the Blues would ask Binner what he wants for his future and if he said He wanted to chase another cup they would trade him. But it is looking more and more like he is going to be a lifelong Blue. There really isn't a reason for him to go somewhere else especially since the team is on a youth trend and it's on it's upswing.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑23 Oct 2025 08:43 am I hated to lose him, but guys like that deserve a chance. Hofer signing the 2 year extension to be the eventual 1A is what killed Ellis trajectory here. Again, If the team was stagnant I can see them dealing either Hofer or Binner. But we needed about 1 more year of wiggle room for them to make the decision that Hofer was too good and had to be dealt and Ellis becomes the new 1B, or the team isn't good enough so go to 2 young goalie future.
Team seems to be too good to do the 2nd option. Or should I say, too talented.
Re: Colten ellis

Good post…..I agree with all of that. I figured we would eventually trade Binner to Edmonton or more likely Toronto (which he would probably waive his NTC for), but I agree, I think he probably retires here at this point.
