Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
well, we all know how Mizzou does in big games so ...
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
It'll be nice to be back to 51% after Saturday. Mizzou by 2 TDs mostly on Hardy
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
Yep with AM and OK still on the schedule sure seems Missouri can ill afford to lose a game 2 before facing them.
But that's why you play the games.

Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
If we lose then we will need to win out, if we lose then we could still get in with one more loss along the way. I think the way the ACC is shaping up, SEC will get in 4-5 teams so probably slightly better than 50-50 we get in with 2 loses.
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
Are you saying "in" with three losses or two?
Three would be problematic for this school and the good 'ol boy club..

Nope. I was drunk when I was typing abovedhsux wrote: ↑23 Oct 2025 16:47 pmAre you saying "in" with three losses or two?

Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
I went through the schedule for all SEC teams with one loss or less and I don't think we have much of a chance to get inn if we lose this game. 12 teams
Teams in
ACC
GTech or Vtech
Little 12
BYU/Tech/Cincy
mid/major
Sflorida/memphis/boise st
big
Indiana
Ohio St
Oregon
sec
Alabama
Georgia/Missouri/Vandy/A&M/Miss/OU
At large
Notre Dame-schedule is a joke
Most likely SEC gets 5 teams in but the little could sneak a 2nd team in. So 6 SEC teams for 4 spots
Georgia
virtually a lock as they don't have too tough a schedule coming up. If they somehow lost to Gtech, it will take a bid from the SEC so them losing only hurts our chances. They likely win out.
OU
Insane schedule. They will certainly lose at least one to two more games. I think they are most likely to miss out.
Miss
Only top 25 left is OU. Best case scenario for MU is that they win this game imo. I don't see them losing another one so they would likely only have two losses and if it comes down to 2 loss Ole Miss vs MIZ for a spot, rightfully or wrongfully, I will bet they as usual squeeze us out.
A&M
no losses and mizzou will be in a similar situation with this game as they are with Vandy, however if we beat Vandy we can still get in over Vandy. If we lost to Vandy and won this game, we would need A&M to lose a game to either LSU or Texas which could happen but doubtful. So, if they have one loss, we won't get in over them if we win it and have two losses still.
So, better than 50/50 chance that this game is do or die for both Vandy and MIZZOU....it isn't impossible to get in with 2 losses but losing to Vandy makes it way harder and way less than a 50 percent chance you get in. I'd say it would be like a 4 percent chance to get in if we lose this weekend.

Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
I follow the logic and the ACC scares me to death as they could very well end with 3-4 teams at 11-1. Regardless, let’s just make the assumption that the SEC will get 5 teams in and not worry about the other teams. If that is the case here is the breakdown:
- Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss - locks based on schedule. They will all finish 11-1
- Ole Miss Mizzou/Vandy and Tennessee - could be in with 2 loses due to SOS
- OU - Will end with 4 losses
- Texas and LSU - they should both lose 1 more based on schedule
Vandy and Mizzou - Winner has the upper hand and the only way the loser gets in if they win out and the winner suffers 2 additional loses, plus some of the other two loss teams have problems. In all honesty Mizzou needs to win.
If Mizzou wins it comes down to SOS and show points between Mizzou/Vandy winner, Ole Miss, or Tennessee. One will get left out.
If SEC only gets in 4, then it will be a mess.

We will only get 4 in. Too many teams that will have better records and they won't go all SEC. 4 is still a lot. Not impossible for 5 but very very unlikely. You also left out A&M

Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
Win against Vandy AND the rest of their schedule I think they get in around the #8 or #9 ranking. Win all games remaining in big fashion and I could see them being #5-#7. Lose and the rest is a moot point. They will be swallowed up by others and end the season as a lower rung rank and playing in another meaningless bowl. SoS matters but so too does the fashion in which you win. Squeakers of 3 points at the end is not going to convince anyone they deserve a shot at the national title.
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
You could be right but no way can they take a 1 loss ACC school over a 2 loss SEC school, considering Miami, Virgina, GTech, Louisville all should finish at 11-1 without any top 25 teams on their schedule.clemonsonroots wrote: ↑24 Oct 2025 17:22 pm We will only get 4 in. Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
As long as Mizzou only has two losses they will get in. But to do that they have to win today so they can split A&M and OU. If they lose tomorrow it's Music City Bowl again.
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
Now we not only need to win out, but hope for Vandy to lose two more as of both teams are 10-2 then will get the nod.
Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M will also finish with 2 losses or less.

big game Drink comes thru again!
Re: Mizzou playoff odds before and after Vandy game
You can forget the CFP. The sixth year QB at Vandy is the media darling.
