Sacrificing avg for power doesn’t really seem to play for the Jays….neither does the narrative that all those nasty fast pitches with dastardly spin can’t be hit….
Give me a lineup like this every time.

Are you saying that .215 hitters striking out 200x but hit 25HR throughout the lineup wouldn’t be a pennant winner?? Yes, I agreeAn Old Friend wrote: ↑21 Oct 2025 16:21 pmTotally blown away that you like the lineup composition of a pennant winner.Goldfan wrote: ↑21 Oct 2025 14:32 pm .311, .840 18HR

I’m with you on this. It’s not necessarily that they won the pennant, it’s how they did it. I didn’t watch many of the Blue Jays games, but seeing how they did it, they had to be very entertaining.Goldfan wrote: ↑21 Oct 2025 18:57 pmAre you saying that .215 hitters striking out 200x but hit 25HR throughout the lineup wouldn’t be a pennant winner?? Here’s hoping their way becomes a widely mimicked blueprint. I realize it would be more cyclical than revolutionary, but would still be good for the game overall. Great and informative post.

Didn't notice this until this post, but George Springer is having a very PED like season at the age of 36.
