Tues. 5 pm Knoxville TV report on Vitello

The 'watch' continues in Knoxville as no announcement on U.T. baseball head coach Tony Vitello staying with the Vols or leaving Rocky Top .

As like Saturday, Sunday and Monday , the Vols baseball team practiced today again at Lindsey Nelson stadium with Coach Vitello running the practices.
After that Sat. practice , Vitello gathered the players telling them 'nothing has been decided ' and the team would be the first to know of his decision.

A couple former Vols players were interviewed today and both were very complimentary of Vitello . One said , it's every player's dream of one day becoming a major leaguer and he felt that Vitello may feel the same way about a chance to manage in the majors. He added that either way he wlll be happy for Vitello whether he stays at Tenn. or gets the MLB gig.

Some announcers on Knoxville radio FM 99.1 The Animal speculated that now that the ALCS has been completed that a decision (one way or the other ) may come in this period between now and Friday's start of the WS.

I live about 9 minutes from Winthrop University, and they had their grass cut today. And the leaves are turning pretty hues.
I saw several squirrels run to and fro.

No word on what their baseball coach is/was doing today. There's growing concern? I don't know.

I assume Winthrop still has that behemoth of a batter’s eye? Saw a game there a decade or so ago and it was the biggest I’ve seen on a mid-major college baseball field.

there's just so much going on behind it, they had to create something to block it all out. Rock Hill always has something going up and under construction behind it. Softball field behind it, too.
