Casey Stengel was a joke of a manager with the Dodgers and Braves and a forquing genus with the Yankees.
Good point.
What about Joe Torre?
After 4 years I would rate Oli below average as a Manager.
That being said I wouldn’t just can him unless they have someone lined up who would clearly be better.

If you don’t give a hoot about winning in ‘26, then why hire a new mgr? I certainly don’t think they will make an effort to win next season. When 1500 show up for games, they may wish they had cared.

The venn diagram of people who hated the Shildt/Oli hires because they had no experience and are whinging for a Molina/Pujols hire is a circle.
terrible move to hire Albert or Yadi. If they don't pan out you end up with a fan base that begins to ridicule two of your franchise icons. bad situation

I’d love to see them hire Pujols as GM and Molina as Pitching coach. Move Oli to the front office. He could be the new GM or assistant GM.
Winners win. Pujols and Molina are winners and won’t settle for anything else.
Im ok with Marmol returning in 2026. The organization is not making an effort to compete. That's on DeWitt, not Marmol. I've made clear my feelings that Marmol has been Mo's analytics errand boy. Hopefully, Bloom allows Marmol to actually prove himself worthy of an extension. If he shows improvement and passes Bloom's evaluation, great. If he doesn't, he should be let go.
If we see the same frustrating issues (head-scratching lineups, guys with momentum sitting, lack of imagination on offense, etc), then Marmol should be gone. If Bloom retains him after another season of boring baseball, then he's just another Mo.

Let Pujols and Molina cut their teeth with different organizations
Not a Oli fan but he is just a temporary placeholder
hopefully true.
another year (or preferably just a partial year) of Oli is all I can take.

I’ve never understood the logic of “why hire a new manager when you aren’t expected to win”
Why delay the process of winning longer than it needs to be when you can hire a guy(and his own coaching staff) you have confidence in going forward, that can instill a new culture in the clubhouse that would predominantly made up of young players that need development?
Hiring Pujols or Molina will absolutely excite the fanbase. However, they will still need to succeed as a team to sustain the excitement. Regardless, I think both Pujols or Molina will be an improvement.

“I should make this move to excite the fan base,” is something I hope Bloom never utters.

Especially when it comes to the manager.
He certainly needs to take the fan base into consideration. Without them there is no budget and no operations and he would be out of a job. Making money from the Fanbase IS his ultimate job.
