4 points in five games is good, how many are secondary assists where he barely impacted the play? He just doesn't pass the eyeball test as an effective player, most plays die on his stick, he shoots when he should pass and vice versa.

I want him to succeed and be impactful, but he hasn't played effectively in over a year and we are saddles with his contract for how long? Feel the same way about Schenn to a lesser degree.

He's a good complimentary piece. I'm glad he signed when he did, because like Kyrou, people are going to (buzz) about him being an enigma. With what the salary cap is doing, dudes are about to get paid a whole lot more, for a whole lot less production.

Id be asking questions about Thomas and Holloway first right now the points and goals are going to come with Buch. It's like bickering about the Blues 6th or 7th dmen

That should be a clue there is not much substance behind the Buch-bashing. Yes, he's tailed off offensively from his peak the last couple of seasons but he's a long ways from being an ineffective player. Averaged 19 minutes last season playing against top lines and killing penalties. It's not all about goals and assists, all three of these guys worked their butts off and were essential factors in the victory over the Stars. One could make a case Buchnevich had more impact in the outcome than Rantanen.

Buch has the lowest hockey IQ in the league. Regardless how he plays you can not count on him to make a good decision at a critical time. He cost us the first round series against the President cup winner last year because he is simply not very intelligent on the ice.

Him having the lowest hockey IQ ‘in the league’ may be hyperbole, but I agree with the post overall, and still dont understand why Army signed him with all the recent warning signs Buch exhibited.

Snuggle is ASOG. IMO. Same guy. Another troll

Love him or hate him that’s your choice. But don’t invent lies. His best year with the blues was 76 points. He averages just shy of a point per game. That puts him in pretty elite company in the NHL. He’s not amazing at one thing, but he’s good at everything. Good hockey sense whether you believe it or not. All he does is produce. He’s been a nice fit on the blues His level of talent does not grow on trees

Who cares what you’re saying? He gets it done. Despite your criticism he still manages to produce. And he will continue to produce all year.

The only things not “good” about Buch are his appearance and his demeanor.

He has been our most dependable forward since he has been here.
If he did not resemble the mad Nazi in the original film THE PRODUCERS, much of the hate would evaporate.

NONE of the arguments against him hold up against statistics.

If his haters were blind, they would find more deserving targets for criticism.

So, it seems that Buch is the new whipping boy (for now).

Jeez, this [fork]ing place...

Buch is very well liked in the organization you bet you he can make frustrating plays sometimes but when the dust settles he'll be a 60+ pt guy

Agree with 90 percent (maybe 100).

To me, he resembles Count Chocula*, but I have not seen The Producers, hence the 90-100 range.

*Once in a great while, mom would buy the name-brand, and CC was inhaled in a hurry!
