Based upon the past 8 winners, those stats would give him a legit case:

2025: Hutson 6 goals, 66 points (D)
2024: Bedard 22, 61
2023: Beniers 24, 57
2022: Seider 7, 50 (D)
2021: Kaprizon 27, 51 (55 GP)
2020: Makar: 12, 50 (57 GP) (D)
2019: Pettersson 28,60
2018: Barzal 22, 85

You might want to keep an eye on Emmitt Finne who's only 20 (also 7th rd. pick) and playing on the Wings No. 1 line.

He's helping Newhook's game; you'd even swear Newhook actually belongs in the big league.

Snuggy is showing he has both goal sense and passing sense. He looks like a way more talented forward than Anyone I can remember in recent memory that wore the note. I think the last time I watched someone effecting the ice as much as Snuggy is doing was Fabbri. I'm not saying this leads to some crazy season. But I do like that he seems to want to shoot, but is always looking for that goal scoring play with the pass too. No real way to quantify this since it's so early, but he looks like the next best "vision" guy to Thomas. Hasn't necessarily completed the passes, but when he sends a couple of those cross ice you can see where there are huge openings/plays he is setting up.

Wow. That is an interesting and impressive list of statistics. If he stays healthy and continues to be a significant contributor to the team's success for the full season, on top of his personal background story, his personality and if the Isles make the playoffs, then he certainly would likely get the most votes.
Jackman's offensive points were not high when he won, but the game has changed since then and certainly by how defensemen are now valued relative to what they contribute in the O-Zone.
There really are a lot of talented and well developed young players.
