Jimmy Calder Trophy

Thats 4 NHL goals in his first 12 games overall but hes come out of the gate this year blazing with a 52% Corsi already 2 GWGs and do it in with 14:50 ish TOI. He can play a more complete game akin to Neighbours Jimmy added a little muscle over the summer and just seems to possess the "it" factor. Jimmy is 21 years old Blues fans wait till he's in mid his 20's wow. Is Jimmy going to be a legit NHL star player?

I think Schaefer has all the momentum right now (not to mention skill, draft position, the right market). It's his to lose.

But great points. We have a special one. With or without the Calder.

Woah, Buium is a minus 7?!

They may need to bring Kessel over so ZB can have a night or two in the pressbox...

You can blame DA, the scouts, and our draft position. Should have tanked more often. And that stinkin' Carbonneau is on his way too. Ugh.

Only a matter of time until Smelly starts to complain about the Wild’s drafting!

I have Nikishin as his main competition right now and I’d be willing to bet Demidov makes a run as well.

I think Ivan Demidov is the most likely winner of the Calder.

If he continues to get goals from the dirty areas, I expect him to win the Calder hands down.

This top 6 hasn't found their rhythm yet wait till the top two lines are clicking Snuggerud could absolutely go off. I honestly didn't think he would look this good yet

Indeed, his hockey sense, instinct and no-fear willingness to get to the net is something that wasn't mentioned in the past...a lot of focus on the shot and quick release. And the first couple of years after he was drafted, there were many posts complaining he was not a good skater. He is showing as a very well-rounded player and a fantastic pick.

Just wait until they finally figure out how to isolate him on the PP so he can start letting that 1T rip

I can see why Monty gave him a top 6 role immediately. If Bolduc pouted over that then he’s an idiot

Yes the PP looks off, they need to set up some plays to let Snuggs get his shot off

Agree, and I remember those discussions. His skating did seem rather pedestrian on the film I saw, but that is no longer the case, as he has speed and seems to know where to be. Said he worked on board play over the summer, and I can see his game in the dirty areas is much better than I thought.
