No way this team beats Vandy next week unless Drink figures out a decent offense. Must change up the offense from here on out given defenses will now stack the box to stop the run.
Found it funny that the announcers kept talking about us still in the playoff hunt. That ain’t happening with the way this offense plays.
We’ll be lucky to get more than 1 other (Arky) wins this year.

I wouldn’t count us out, we’re kind of getting used to Drink winning ugly. The tough thing for us is, we have Okie and Vandy on the road and A&M at home. Those are all 3 big time games this year. Plus Miss State and Arky on the road are not going to be easy. There’s just no room for error to make the playoffs and tough sledding down the stretch. With the way our offense is running it’s hard to see it. But, it’s a resilient team. So here we go!brianstlou2 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:03 pm No way this team beats Vandy next week unless Drink figures out a decent offense. A lot of wet blankets here after a SEC road win.
Every game is a season and preparing for Vandy and what is likely to be a veteran QB on a mission will be different than preparing for Auburn.
Vandy is likely the best team left on the schedule.
Missouri is certainly capable but the offense is going to have to likely put up at least 28 points to win.

Do I think MIZ will beat Vandy, no, but you lost me at Vandy being the best team we’ll play the rest of the year. Okie certainly better and we never beat A&M.11WSChamps wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:17 pm A lot of wet blankets here after a SEC road win.

It will be a miracle if the Tigers finish ranked at the end of the season. Very disappointing but not exactly unexpected. I just think the 5 wins to start against some very easy opponents made a bunch of people think they were better than they are.

At least we have the Aggies at home and they almost lost to Arkansas.brianstlou2 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:34 pmDo I think MIZ will beat Vandy, no, but you lost me at Vandy being the best team we’ll play the rest of the year. I also believe Vandys QB Pavia is better than OU's Mateer.

They beat a team that has played nothing but top 25 SEC teams - and went 0-4 doing so. Auburn had a defensive line that made our usually stellar looking offensive line look mediocre.Whatashame wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 22:50 pm Not pretty but Mizzou figured out a way to win on the road in the SEC. This conference is so tough. I’m not saying Mizzou is great but to go on the road in the SEC and beat anybody is so tough. The crowd was loud and obnoxious. For all of the things that went wrong…..a road win in the SEC just ain’t easy but they figured out a way.
MIZ!!!!

I believe the Vandy QB will be eligible for Social Security next year.11WSChamps wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:17 pm A lot of wet blankets here after a SEC road win.

Mizzou’s remaining schedule looks even more difficult than it did to begin the season. Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and aTm are great teams. Arkansas and Mississippi State are good teams. It will be a gauntlet trying to run the table but if they do we should definitely go into the playoffs ranked in the top 5 in the nation.
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Auburn -- 6:45 -- SECN
Huh? Not any other team has Auburn's defense, which is very good and stuffed UGA's running game last week. That has to be accounted for in Mizzou'slooking bad on offense tonight. Auburn only allowed 16 to aTm and 20 to UGA.cbcloud wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:02 pm Missou "backs" into a win against Auburn tonight. Any other SEC team would have easily beaten Mizzou. Mizzou had a very sorry game plan tonight, and it just about cost them the game. A suggestion: Do not give the ball to Hardy until the 2nd quarter at the earliest. He should be a decoy before then, as Vandy will surely see how easily Auburn neutralized him in the game. He had 58 yards on 24 carries, for a 2.4 yard average per carry.
Thank goodness Auburn played a little worse than Mizzou did tonight, and handed them the game in the 2nd OT. Don't bet on doing that next week, Drink...
But yeah, the play calling did not help matters. That sideways pass out of bounds for a significant loss while close to FG range late in regulation was a special doozy.
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Auburn -- 6:45 -- SECN
Tigers get MSU at home along with aTm. And I know Vandy will be tough wherever, but that road venue is the easiest in the SEC. Small stadium, and usually at least a third of it is filled with fans of opponents. LSU fans were there in great numbers today. But Vandy looks tough. What makes me somewhat optimistic is the growth of this defense, and defense travels.Armchair QB wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:14 pmI wouldn’t count us out, we’re kind of getting used to Drink winning ugly. And I vanished when the game tonight went to OT. My nerves where shot!
I was very happy to see they won and caught up on the recorded video. Whew!
The Tigers somehow pulled that ugly game out and kept my preseason prediction alive. That was 10-2 with losses to Bama at home and to OU in Norman.
Onward!

The OC has underutilized Roberts all year, imo.cbcloud wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:02 pm Missou "backs" into a win against Auburn tonight. Any other SEC team would have easily beaten Mizzou. He's a versatile back that offers more than a straight run game. Would love to see more plays with both he and Hardy together.

Auburn run defense is elite, they schemed very well and forced us to win through the air. Every team is going to study film and learn these things. It’s going to be critical we make adjustments and Roberts is a dynamic weapon who can do things that aren’t Hardy’s strength. Yesterday it was like we thought we could just ram Hardy through the tackles and that’s just not going to work.dhsux wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025 07:51 amThe OC has underutilized Roberts all year, imo.cbcloud wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 23:02 pm Missou "backs" into a win against Auburn tonight. I hope we show serious creativity next week and start using Roberts a lot more. Who cares if Hardy gets the Heisman. He’s not going to get it with our gameplan from yesterday. Hardy will probably be productive again if we spread things out and open some holes for him. As of now, defenses are keyed in on him.
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Auburn -- 6:45 -- SECN
Well they say you learn from your mistakes so Mizzou you have a week to get learning.

Specifically, a couple of things come to mind if they would follow our advice, just 10-15% more of the time (plays)
For one, Hardy' performance would benefit itself from rest and having a change of pace running back with more alternating between them.
And putting them in the same backfield together more often would create opportunities everywhere against a defense facing such options, particularly with Roberts as a dangerous receiver.
Missouri has these two highly talented RB's yet they are not utilizing them properly imo, not getting the bang for their buck that they should.
