The Blues are going to be just fine.

Last two games play to the adage 'things are never as bad or as good as they seem'.

Can't disagree. They were tonight's difference makers.

That was a good Blues game. Nice bounce back after the Hawks debacle.

The players deserve the primary credit but they don't win this game without Monty's line and pairing adjustments. It was a good move to insert Kessel and better yet to balance the top three lines against the 3-line deep Stars.

Sooner the team realizes Mailoux isn't NHL ready, and likely won't be this season, the better.

I was trying to come up with excuses he might make to the coaches for that play after returning to the bench. Here's what I came up with.
1. The Dallas player caused me to be off balance.
2. I was trying to draw a penalty.
3. The ice was bad.
4. My stick slipped.
5. I'm not good at hockey.

Kessel isn't the answer.

He's good in small doses but he is very much a player once he gets 5 or 6 in a row he gets exposed and the results quickly go downhill.

Maybe that changes so we'll see.

I mean players lights can turn on and become good players… not saying Kess is as of right now… I was impressed how he played and the defense overall against a strong offensive team
