I guess what frustrates me is putting Snuggers with Buch and Suter. Seems like he should be at least on the second line. I know he scored that goal but it seems he’s being under valued.

He's not fast
He can't pass
He's not agile
He's clumsy
He's overpaid
He has a low hockey IQ
Agree with all the above. Will also say he never puts himself in a good offensive position. He could easily be a 3/4 line player. Only reason he gets points is bc he plays on top 2 lines and usually with Thomas as his center. He’s just a really awkward player and certainly overpaid and will only get worse. Besides Krug, one of Army’s worst moves signing him to the extension. Should have traded him for a 1st rounder when he could’ve.

Let's b11tch about a player who helped the Blues beat Dallas tonight.
Like I said, he’s gonna get some points due to who he plays with. But how many plays does he make every night that make you scratch your head.
I don’t understand the hate for Kyrou when he’s at least good for 30- 40 goals and 60-80 points every year. Yes Kyrou doesn’t have great hockey IQ either but he at least puts the puck in the net.
Sudsy 11 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2025 19:38 pmBuch had one poor year, last year. Otherwise, he's been close to a point per game player as a Blue. Let's at least see what happens this year. Buch is not nearly as bad as some posters make him out to be. The good things: he can score, be a playmaker and plays a 200 foot game.
You see the connection between the "poor year" and the overpaid extension of his contract in summer 2024? One of his characteristics is that he doesn’t care. He got his paycheck raise and has disappeared since.
Buch is killing this team, because he’s paid like a first-line player but plays like an AHLer. Monty has to put him in somewhere, but he weakens every line he’s on...
Five more "poor years" to go. NTC the whole time.
I like Army's work as a GM, but this contract extension was probably the worst deal in the entire league for years.

Buch is currently tied for second on the team in points. I wouldn’t exactly call that “killing the team”.
Granted, I don’t expect that to continue for too much longer. Eventually Kyrou, Thomas and Holloway will wake up.

He seems like just a player. Isn’t fast, isn’t physical, isn’t much of a playmaker. I just don’t understand why the Blues are so high on him. As soon as I hit send he’ll probably have a hat trick
I think he is certainly not playing as well as we would expect or hope. Having said that he does have four points in five games.
He's 30 now, off to a bit of a slow start and maybe has lost a small step.
BUT, he has 267 points in 297 games with the Blues. Well over a 70+ point pace over a full season. He's never had a minus season and is +56 in those 297 games. Despite a slow start, he's still contributed at times and has managed 4 points in 5 games. I think he will improve as the season progresses, and contribute 60-65 points or so. Definitely not someone I worry about from a production standpoint, he's earned it. Pretty ridiculous thread IMO.
