The forwards are going to have to play a special full ice game to beat this team.

Really hoping this is a (lose one you should win, win one you should lose) thing. Hoping for the best.

Well, Monty had to change something after disaster against the Hawks. I like the 1st line. I wish they would do the following on the other two though, knowing some wingers would be on their offside. Buch is just an albatross and needs to be on the 3rd line until he gets his head out of his (bleep)!

Kyrou - Schenn/Suter - Snuggs
Joseph - Schenn/Suter - Buch

Pretty much this. They need to get on track at home in the worst way. Sometimes rising to the level of your opponent helps

I wonder if somni is going to the Seattle Toronto game in Portland

The Stars just lost 5-3 at home vs VAN with DeSmith giving up 5 on 21 shots. Goaltending is important

Ha, I wish.

Tell you what...I think I heard thunder down here when Gino hit his grand salami. :D

I'm debating going to see the Timbers (I have season tickets) or staying to what Blues and HNIC.

You'd think we'd get a really focused effort tonight from the Blues. Will it be enough against a solid Stars team? Yes. Yes, it will.
But Oettinger is not a goalie that a team breaks out against. Gotta play a solid 200 ft game. Not a bunch of odd man rushes and/or dumb penalties.

A lot of what we do this year will depend on what we get out of our 2C.
I don't know that Suter is it. But to be fair. I don't think offense has been his number one duty with the team. Hopefully he shows something different with his new title and mates.

Schenn on the third was Sooo last year. But I don't think we should weaken our top six. With Kyrou on it. So we can claim a offensive threat from the third line.
What Joseph adds with his speed and hard work. He takes away from Kyrou. By not thinking the game at the same level.
Kyrou needs to be on the top line with Thomas and Holloway.

The Fourth line has been [shirt]. Maybe a break since toros out. I don't know that Bugs will ever look good on it and if we are playing both Joe and Tex. Joe would be the fourth line pick.

The Stars will be angry after losing to the Canucks the other night. Tough game for the Blues tonight.

Stop trying to play the "up tempo/speed" game; allowing odd man rushes and getting discombobulated defensively.

Schenn was a 50 pt center last year. Thomas had 80 ish, Schenning had 50 that's adequate for an NHL 1C and 2C. It seems like it's more of the mix of players vs whether Schenn is or isn't a 2C

Holloway will get more offensive opportunities playing with Thomas on the 1st line (at least Thomas knows how to cycle, pass and forecheck) than anchoring him to Kyrou's LW, playing pussyfoot toedrag/low IQ hockey.
