A 6th grader with decent MLB knowledge could build a playoff team if he had $320M per year coming from a TV deal alone.

Get real....MLB is no longer a serious, competitive sport. But.....the salary cap is coming......

time will tell but there has been some (drat) good competitive baseball this post season!

Doesn't it take the enjoyment out of it just knowing one team has unlimited resources and over $1B deferred into the '40's and the other one is basically on a small market budget? I long ago tired of the David vs Goliath story....except for the original of course. I just can't see it as a real sport until they fix this issue.

For me it did. I have had no desire to watch LA vs Mil. Never saw Mil having a chance to win a game in the series.

How do you guys not understand this? There isn't a ton of profit sharing in MLB. Most teams are owned by groups, not a single billionaire individual. Those groups are in MLB ownership to make money. If you don't have the market size and revenue of teams like LA or NY, you can't endlessly spend and make a profit.

I loved it. It was so enjoyable. Even though ESPN had nothing to do with the most entertaining broadcast I've heard in a while.
