* Sundqvist (LBI) and Toropchenko (LBI/UBI) not skating again.
Neighbours to the right side, Buch down to line 2, Snuggy up to line 2, Kyrou down to line 3. The lines are all jumbled.

Unsurprisingly, Kessel being given a chance. Probably likely to slot in for Mailloux for the next game.
A game or two from the high seats for Logan with Chopper and likely Prongs will do the young fella some good.

We are moving Kyrou to the 3rd line? Not sure how I feel about that one.

Kessel and Tucker will also very likely be a disaster.
I’ve seen comments like this for years and I don’t get it. In all the years MacInnis has been employed by the Blues, I’ve heard of zero times of him working with a player directly. I’m not even sure he works for the Blues fulltime. He’s an advisor to Army. Likely just someone Army gets an opinion from from time to time.

And Pronger? He now with the FanDual broadcast so wouldn’t he be busy with that? And not like he’s been around a ton over the years. That said, has he even been on a FanDual broadcast yet? I saw where he was on Hockey Night in Canada the other night so I guess the FanDual thing isn’t every game. But either way, not like he’s just in the pressbox ready to give advice to whatever d-man is scratched that night.
Fine he will be sitting with coaches then

Agreed. Sort of like how Mailloux was listed on the 2nd pairing last game but still finished with the 6th most icetime among d-men.

Yep. And that should be the approach. Mailloux is more going to be a bigger part of the wave of prospects coming (Dvorsky, Lindstein, Stenberg, etc.).

Montreal is going to take this news as validation of the trade.....at least the dumb ones will.

What upsets me the most is that this just means Kessel is in.

Seems logical. The only forwards that played with a heartbeat against Chicago were Neighbours and Holloway. Promoting them to play with Thomas hopefully sends a message. And Buch needs to be on the 3rd line…..period.

I'm confused. The quote said he was the "last player ON the ice."
Did he mean "OFF"?

Really probably need to find a way to go out and find Mailloux a solid veteran partner. Last years Suter would have been perfect.

Surprised Monty would paint himself into a corner like that. As what happens when Mailloux goes back in the lineup and stinks again? He’s never going to come back out of the lineup? That was just a needless sentence to add there IMO.

Probably trying to let him know that they have confidence in him and don't want him to think that any mistake he makes means he's out. But yea, probably not the wisest considering how much work he seemingly still needs before he'd be a legit regular.

i love this.
Holloway needs high end line mates to snap out of his funk.
Kyrou should stay on the third line until he commits to playing strong intelligent hockey. He is where the transition game goes to die.

Buchnevich is better suited to the second line.

Mailloux , as I figured, will be given the chance to figure a few things out from up high.
