Did Buch show up Hofer? Per Jaime Rivers
Jaime Rivers seems to think that Pavel showed up Hofer after that bad pass that led to the goal by staring him down, which might have rattled Hofer a bit. Do you buy that, or is Rivers just talking out of his (donkey)?

Yes he did … he stared him down a bit.
Buchnevich is a clown. One of my most disliked players in the entire NHL.

He did give him a stare down TNT commented on it in real time.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 14:27 pm Jaime Rivers seems to think that Pavel showed up Hofer after that bad pass that led to the goal by staring him down, which might have rattled Hofer a bit. I heard his opinion, while I didn't play hockey in high school I did play baseball and soccer. If I made a mistake that bad I think I would have at least acknowledged that was on me in someway visually to my teammates.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 14:27 pm Jaime Rivers seems to think that Pavel showed up Hofer after that bad pass that led to the goal by staring him down, which might have rattled Hofer a bit. I also don't see what the big deal is after watching the replay again, Hofer isn't even looking for most of the sequence he just went along digging the puck out of the net. Mountain out of a mole hill situation.

He should have been stared down. It was a complete boneheaded play. This isn’t some CYC game. Grow a thicker skin if it bothered Hofer that much. How is it even possible that a Buch stare caused Hofer to unravel. News flash. There will be more mistakes. Own them and move on.

the entire team should have stared down Buchnevich when he made the worst icing in franchise history?Whatashame wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 14:46 pm He should have been stared down. But Johnny jumped off the bridge, why can’t I. Grow up. One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Buch shoots him a stare then moved on. Why do you come here to make a bigger deal about something that isn’t. The camera caught Buch. Was there a camera on Monty? Otter? Binnington? It was a boneheaded play. If it bothered Hofer that much he should find another line of work.
The play happened, the team played poorly now move on. I know, maybe the whole team will be in a bad spot for a while because of last night. There were 17000+ at the game last night who shot lots of looks at the team last night. It’s part of being a pro. It happens, get over it and move on.

So you agree Buchnevich should have been stared down by teammates after that epic icing/awful decision.
Perfect

That’s not what was said at all. You just can’t help yourself, can you. What was said is that one thing has nothing to do with the other. You being a [ablution] is the constant.
Hofer knew immediately what he did was wrong. It was in the back of the net immediately. The Blues didn’t know how messed up Buch’s play was until about 2 seconds were left in the game. Both plays turned out bad. One immediately, one painstakingly a little longer.

Oh timing of bad play. I mean playoff game 7 vs bad play in game 4 of regular season. What’s more important?Whatashame wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 17:31 pmThat’s not what was said at all. You don’t show up teammates publicly. Never goes well

And an extra 2,112 percent for mentioning "CYC"!

What never goes well is passing the puck to an opponent from behind the net right on the opponents stick for a tap in.
Just watching the Dodgers/Brewers and the Dodgers pitcher Glasnow just tried to pick a runner off of second and threw the ball into CF allowing the runner to get to third with one out. They immediately show the Dodgers manager Dave Roberts sitting in the dugout shaking his head at the mistake of the pitcher. Was Roberts showing up the pitcher by shaking his head at the mistake? Maybe but the pitcher just made pitches to get out of the inning without further damage.
The moral of the story…….make the mistake, own it and move on. Mistakes are going to happen. This is professional sports. The mistakes can’t get the better of you.

Neither does this. They should have beat him right there. It would have helped chemistry and he sooo deserved it!!!Whatashame wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 17:57 pm What never goes well is passing the puck to an opponent from behind the net right on the opponents stick for a tap in.

You are a clown. What does this have to do with anything. You’re just grasping at straws. 2000??
25 years ago!! Just move on. Saturday night against Dallas. That’s the next hurdle. Hopefully they are better.
Re: Did Buch show up Hofer? Per Jaime Rivers
This is a troll-fest. Last season is OVER, and the Blues didn't lose in regulation, or the first whole period of OT, they lost over 16 minutes deep in 2OT. THAT is on the WHOLE team, NOT one player.
Hofer's head was somewhere in the twilight zone last night. He knows it, the team knows it, the coach knows it,
the fans know it, and being on TNT much of the NHL hockey world knows it. That game was not lost in the first period, it was for all practical purposes lost in the second period.
