Re: GDT: Hawks at Blues 8:30 TNT
I just saw the first two goals Hofer gave up and he looked completely incompetent as a goalie! Just Putrid!
Re: GDT: Hawks at Blues 8:30 TNT
This is just awful. What a (bleep) show tonight.
Re: GDT: Hawks at Blues 8:30 TNT
I did not like Monty's comment to Pang in the 1st period about the Blues getting ready to take the game over. Yeah, that really happened, Coach. His team is playing like they are entitled to a win tonight.

throwing away a game is always bad but doing it at home to the Hawks who are not yet good is sour stuff
Re: GDT: Hawks at Blues 8:30 TNT
Atrocious defense but man we keep talking about needing a 2c. I think we need a 1C. Thomas not fast enough or good enough shorter to be a 1C. Just disappears for periods at a time.

I agree but I think he believes in his team and expects much better. They seem to have to relearn that you have to bring focus and intensity on home ice too.

Relying on Tucker and Mailloux as our 5 and 6 defensemen is glaring. A third pairing that is just not ready on a nightly basis. This is where insurance in vet dmen like a Suter and/or Leddy made a difference. Tucker had a horrible sequence in the second missing a check on Donato, then blowing a clearing pass that led to an extended sequence in our zone and then getting walked by rinzel for the third goal.

No, it isn't.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:10 pmIs that last part true? Good god…WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:01 pmHe’s [fork]ing bad. Get over it.
Maybe, hope to god, he figures it out for the Blues sake but right now he’s killing the team.
We’ve surrendered what 13 or 14 goals so far this season (not even looking at how many were short handed or empty net) and he’s been on the ice AND negatively involved in 9 of them.
He's -4. He was -3 in the first 3 and he's -1 tonight.

Leddy was never as bad as many thought he was. And he and Suter clearly made Tucker look better than he is.IsDurbanodoingtime wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:32 pm Relying on Tucker and Mailloux as our 5 and 6 defensemen is glaring. Such a Buch play on that break where he tried to pass back to Jake. Not only was the pass through a defender, but Jake was in no position to take the pass back.
He still got the secondary assist though for that blunder so Harry York will say he’s got the best hockey IQ on the team

What? Thomas averaged over a point per game last year, that's a #1 center by literally any metric.

Yea gotcha. I mean he’s been bad but I couldn’t imagine it was that bad.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:34 pmNo, it isn't.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:10 pmIs that last part true? Good god…WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:01 pmHe’s [fork]ing bad. Get over it.

He's going to be up and down this season there's no doubt, but quite honestly the problem tonight was Hofer.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:35 pmYea gotcha. Those first two absolutely can never happen. One can happen, but both 1:30 apart? Nope.
He was the #1 star against Calgary, and he's been the worst player on the ice tonight.

All of their games have been competitive under the new coach so far.seattleblue wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:27 pm throwing away a game is always bad but doing it at home to the Hawks who are not yet good is sour stuff

The guy’s a train wreck. I am perplexed on what he is thinking on these “passes” he makes. Like I said, I hope there’s a team that’s really desperate at the deadline or before..MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025 22:34 pmSuch a Buch play on that break where he tried to pass back to Jake.
