ROR

Post by theograce »

Preds fans must be frustrated.

-3 tonight

ROR has been playing since he was 18. Outside of STL he has been a + player twice…once when he was 18.

Lost the love again? And again?

He lost the love in Buffalo. (See other thread). As apparently did Eichel when he admitted after winning the cup that in vegas he finally liked coming to the rink again.

I hope he lost his love again. At least he’d have an excuse for being awful.

Looks like not lopsided or at least as lopsided as you would want to justify it.

Well that is not true, doesn't look like its justified last year but his last year here it was absolutely justified

He’s been terrible lots of times … both in attitude and just watching him. Don’t need numbers to justify that.

I’m sure Preds fans have lost their love too

I’d take him at the deadline to be the Blues 3C at 50% retained

His d zone starts the last 3 years

22-23 44.2%
23-24 35.7%
24-25 35.9%

this year so far 33.3%

This did surprise me. His last year in St. Louis was 59.8%

I don't think you can judge a guy by +/- when is is getting 60% d zone starts but yeah when its 35% that number needs to be better.

Nashville hasn't looked that bad this year. I think ror has been a big part. He has the gwg for both of Nashville's wins.

What those numbers show is that he is the guy counted on when his teams thinking defense.
The difference between the Blues good numbers and the rest. Is Defense, from our Offense, is our (donkey) backwards thing.

The one area that +/- is weak as a stat is on losing teams. That number gets out of whack because since they are losing they pull the goalie a lot. That ends up in a lot of empty net goals. I've always thought that they needed to not count the the +/- when the goalie is pulled. I think it would make it more accurate.

I haven't watched ROR play this year or much last year. He was always an oddity of a player. Not fast, but effective. It's not hard to imagine losing a step could drastically reduce his ability to make a difference. He won a cup here and should always be respected.
