Re: That Snuggy goal....
His release is really special. Something you can't teach. It's God given. But it doesn't matter unless you...
A. Put it on goal
B. Avoid the goalie
C. Nail the spot you're aiming for. Like within centimeters.
Hull could do that with regularity. Snuggerud can, and will, do that too.
The other thing...the guy doesn't just know he can shoot. He loves to shoot. We are very lucky to have him.

Sounds like Bolduc, except; We 'were' very lucky to have him.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 19:25 pm The other thing...the guy doesn't just know he can shoot. He loves to shoot. We are very lucky to have him.

We have yet to see the big bombs in Jimmy's arsenal. It will come, in time. The young man can flat out shoot the puck. So far he's living off his quick release and accuracy. In real time, even on a big screen TV, like that one goal tonight he gets the puck off so quick with his wrist shot you have to wait for instant replay to see what he did.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 20:01 pmSounds like Bolduc, except; We 'were' very lucky to have him.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 19:25 pm The other thing...the guy doesn't just know he can shoot. The Blues traded from an area of strength moving Bolduc. Jimmy had an edge being a right hand shot but I also believe he is a more complete 200' player who will continue to develop in that regard.

Mr. Snugglerollin is just upset he miffed on the Jimmy Snuggerud bolting the Blues to play with MN.DawgDad wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 21:40 pmWe have yet to see the big bombs in Jimmy's arsenal. Some of that history was some of the more funny and delusional trolling on this board. "O no, army is eating dinner with Snuggys family, Snuggy is playing for the mild!!!". That stuff was ridiculous.somni wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 21:45 pmMr. Snugglerollin is just upset he miffed on the Jimmy Snuggerud bolting the Blues to play with MN.DawgDad wrote: ↑13 Oct 2025 21:40 pmWe have yet to see the big bombs in Jimmy's arsenal. Glad he got off to a hot start. Also, really good move by Monty to get him down on the 3rd line. Looks like our 1st line is getting checked pretty aggressively, Monty getting him down to the 3rd opened up softer lines and it looks like Joseph and Suter have been what was billed this year and last year before we got Joseph. They have a certain edge about how they are attacking the play at the moment.
Defense looks like a fun unit. Broberg continues to impress with how fast he can outskate opponents with the puck.

“I thought he was the best player on the ice for us tonight. He's dynamic, he's elite, a high hockey IQ. That first shot is pretty high-end. He knows how to score goals, how to go to the right areas. With him, he's only going to get better as he goes,” Schenn said, via Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic.

Schenn nailed it. Snugg's had a great game.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 06:14 am “I thought he was the best player on the ice for us tonight. He's dynamic, he's elite, a high hockey IQ. I don't think a lot of folks on here realize how hard it is to score a goal like that... To stop and control the puck going the opposite direction, rotate 180 in only a few feet and still get enough power (and lift) to score that goal is extremely impressive.
Something I've never seen Jimmy Campbell do...

An absolutely god-awful, clueless comparison. But not surprising.Hockey Pete wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 09:15 amSchenn nailed it.
