In the post game presser Drinkwitz said they knew all week 'Bama would be playing a cover 2 in the secondary that's what the team prepared for and he says that's exactly what they did.

Without saying it he in essence was saying the throws where there but for some reason they weren't executed.

From a lot of the comments here at least Pribula just didn't see what was practiced.

Pribula just had a really bad game. Hopefully, he learns from it. Moore had a bad game as well.

This is just a guess, but it’s a 2 part issue. Our OLine isn’t great in pass protection and doesn’t give Pribula much time to get the ball downfield which is where Johnson is usually going to be. Plus the 2nd part of that is, I’m not sure Pribula is super comfortable in the pocket yet anyway and going through his reads when he does get time to actually throw downfield.

It would do wonders for Pribula if our OLine could have a great game in pass protection and he connects on several balls downfield. His confidence would go up.

As it is now, it looks like the same thing Brady dealt with, just looking for shorter passes to whoever is open before he gets hit.
