CFP Sham

Post by rezero »

Oregon will make the playoffs playing only one top 25 team and losing. Notre Dame will make the playoffs playing only 2 top 25 teams and losing to both. Ohio State will make the playoffs playing only two top 25 team, this assumes Michigan stays in top 25 for the last game of year. Georgia Tech will make the playoffs playing 1 top 25 team, which will be Georgia in last game.

Oklahoma’s plays the 4,8,11,12,14,15,22 ranked teams in addition to Texas and South Carolina being two non ranked teams they play.

The goal is to schedule easy and who cares if you lose the only 1-2 hard games you play.

The SEC is almost too deep for its own good. Every week it is just going to kill itself, while the other conferences have a bottom half that is pretty (bleep) overall.

That's true. Make the SECCG or limit it to two losses, and we'll meet one of those teams in the playoffs who haven't had the competition we played.

This is precisely why going to a 9 game SEC schedule is a big mistake. We should play a 7 game schedule and then as many P4 opponents as possible or a Boise or Memphis or Tulane type team to have that head to head non conference dominance that basketball had last year. That really paid off when selection Sunday rolled around.

The SEC played an 18 game basketball schedule before 14 teams were selected to the NCAA tournament.

Looks like the SEC is a victim of its own success and tradition.

And now adding yet another conference game no doubt at the whim of the networks making and providing the cash to do business.

Meanwhile the Notre Dames, Miami's, and others will have annual playoff games playing 2 or 3 "good" teams each season.

But yeah as long as everyone is getting their money who cares right?

What's shocking to me is that people still think the SEC is a meritocracy, when it is clearly being 'managed' for a few preferred programs. Why do you think on that rediculous SECN show 'True South' it's narrated by someone who sounds like they never left Dothan, AL!?

100%

We should play a 7 game and take out every other conference wanna be’s with the extra 2 games. I thought that from the beginning.

What's absurd is you still being able to troll here and continue to be the forum punching bag.

The PD must be in sorry shape allowing gutless (bleeps) like you to remain here.

Hilarious stuff.

Maybe move to the ND forum and have fun watching them wipe up their patsies.
