Abner our secondary is certainly the weakest part of our team. But, give them credit, they hung in there and were competitive vs a very elite Alabama passing attack. There’s hope if they can do that.

Gotta wonder how much of it is coaching. I don't know how many times we've seen zone coverage where there were 3 or 4 defenders standing within 5 yards of a receiver watching him catch the pass. Opposing teams seem to always find the holes in the zone and exploit them because the defenders just don't close on the receiver quickly.

If they can't beat Alabama at home, in front of a packed house of screaming Tiger fans, with 2 weeks to get ready, and after Bama had a big win the week before, then they're never going to do it.

Take away the turnovers and the failed fake punt giving 'Bama a short field and they don't score 20-points.

In todays game with all the advantages given to the offense and given the opponent you can't ask for more than that.

Our secondary played pretty well today. They held Simpson to 200yds and over half of that was short to RB and TEs. Their first round draft WR was completely shut out. Our problem today was not the secondary at all, but undisciplined penalties, poor QB play, and bad in game coaching.

Seriously, Simpson had 200 yards what more do you want? He s obviously going to make some plays. What does everyone expect? If you didn't watch the game and I told you that Simpson would only throw for 200 yards, people would be asking how much we won by.

Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams had three passes for a total of 20 yards. FYI all those were by Bernard. You're delusional. And yes we have a good pass rush but sometimes those sacks are due to coverage.
