MU BB pro prac

Post by hdhntr148 »

Heard someone who follows MU BB who was at MU's pro practice say Shawn Phillips? the 7 foot plus center did 36 inch standing jump and 42 inch moving. says they are excited for alley oops for him, blocking shots and rebounding.

plus he raved about kid from UCLA says is really outstanding in transition and attacks the rim with a vengeance. staff is anticipating a lot of FT's from MM, Ant and Mack. says TO plus Ant and Mack are going to have a formidable back court. TO apparantly is showing out in running the team when he is out there and finding right spots to pass to making rest better plus he plays really good D.

Gates was talking about wanting 100 3's from crews and the Detroit wing.Said when crews got here they just had baby and had big transition to a SEC school and is really working on his D which he has to if he wants more pt.

MM has retooled his shot and is much more effective from 3 and mid range.

burns is supposed to be back in playing shape by November.

mostly speculation of course and Coach speak but it's interesting in October to be talking MU BB.

I hope Crews has upped his game because he was bad more often than he was good. Spot player in my mind.

He has a great game but agree consistency was the issue.

i like that being the challenge....he has it in him and that's the part you can't teach but consistency can be improved.
