Does anyone have any updates on the Cardinals pitching lab ?

Post by ramfandan »

The Cardinals are moving away from their 'pitch to contact' type pitching philosophy that was used under Mo to developing 'strikeout ' type high velocity pitchers. That change was shown in this year's draft of 1st rounder Liam Doyle , the high velo kid from Tennessee.
Reportedly the Cardinals have been trying to improve their technology developing a pitching lab at their Jupiter facility but there have reportedly been setbacks ( something about permitting ? ) .
Matt Pierpont is now the Cardinals new Director of Pitching. Has anyone read or heard about any progress with their pitching lab development ?
Thanks

What is/was the bigger fiasco: the Cards' pitching lab or the Loop Trolley?

Google a picture and download it. You may have to use the "tools" to reduce the size of any GIF or picture to under 256kb. Then click on "Attachments" directly below this and it should allow you to go right to your downloads and then click on that download.
