Agree! You’d think they would have figured that out before opening night. You can’t even see the puck at times.

Have they fixed it yet? Tired of watching the Minnesota feed.

Re: Why so bright?
Funny. I went and started checking my TV settings because I thought the contrast had been adjusted or something. Glad I'm not alone. Not only that but the audio in the pregame was not matching up so it's been a less than stellar first broadcast the score after first period is just icing on the (bleep) cake
Re: Why so bright?
What?
You don't like staring directly at the sun?
Re: Why so bright?
I almost started a thread about this but since I was watching on a different tv than last season, I thought it was the tv. I changed the settings on the tv and now it looks better. I think I switched from Dynamic to Standard and lowered the brightness. So weird.

Re: Why so bright?
Much better picture for me to start the second period.
Re: Why so bright?
It was definitely the Blues feed.
I was watching on the game on NHL Center Ice and flipped to other games and they looked just fine. I was able to adjust ‘gamma’ on my Sony (don’t know what that is exactly) and it worked and didn’t seem to affect the other games.
It was the same on ESPN+
But I agree, they should have figured this out before airing a game and I hope they figure it out.

They eventually straightened it out. But I spent minutes checking my settings, adjusting, etc. (I hope I didn't screw them up and got them back to where they should be?!)
Absolutely inexcusable by the Blues, their broadcast partners and all concerned from top to bottom at anytime, but particularly on Opening Night when you already have angst about the new Broadcast team in the booth! A low Minor-League effort at best.

Thanks for posting.
It was really bright. Couldn't even see the puck.
Too bad there wasn't much to see.

You and the entirety of Blues nation was messing with their settings. I don't know on a broadcast like that they made the mistake. It's the white balance was way high. I know from past years when we broadcast my kids youth hockey games you notch up white balance a bit. But that was on a consumer camcorder.Old_Goat wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 08:15 am They eventually straightened it out. Re: Why so bright?
When I got my new 65" TV a few years ago I started seeing glitches on the screen during Cardinal games. I was dreading having to return the TV but I noticed it was happening on my other TVs. Eventually FSM got it figured out. FanDuel seems to have more issues than FSM did.
Are the glitches bad for a 1+ Billion dollar company? Yes, yes they are. The Blues should hold them to a higher standard.

Happy I'm not the only one. Switched to Minny feed and was like this is perfect wtf. Went back to the feed later in game and was better but still not as good as Minnesota's.
Re: Why so bright?
It was almost to bright to watch.
